None taken.. If instead of husband it was written wife.. I am having this uncanny feeling, the max vote would have gone for TB

ma'am you are on xbhp obviously TB will get all the votes
        BTW what you have decided?????

I think bike should not be a surprise gift as it is very expensive thing and you cant be sure what he wants.
because when it comes to buying even we get confused which one to go for thats all from my side ma'am

If I were YOU I would go for the TB as it would mean that your Hubby would still spend some time with and for you :P
          Else, nothing beats the classic!

Personally, I am not a terrible fan of the bullet. But if I am given a bike as a surprise gift, especially when I am known to get excited about that bike, then hell for sure I am gonna be jumping with pleasure if someone gifts it to me!

That apart, careful consideration/research from the part of the gifter is of utmost importance when considering the cost of the gift!

The TB back rest can be fit on the Machismo too.

I feel its more of a hype which has come with the RE. Every bike requires attention and maintenance , but none would keep you involved with it all the time.

@Sasha : why don't you try to enquire your husband (casually) what he likes more when he sees an RE , "the classic looks or TB" . based on the response buy him one.

One question, is your husband on xBhp or aware of it?

                    Hi Sasha,
A small suggestion from my side. Dunno how pleasing or feasible it would sound.
Instead of giving him "THE BIKE" on "THE DAY" why dont u BOOK ( note: just booking) the bike ( either TB or Machismo/Classic) like 10 days before ur anniversary and take him there. If he likes what u've chosen, ride home with the bike, otherwise you could always ask them to cancel the booking and give u the other model. I know this could be avery happy experience or an experience wich would need another 15 days of waiting.
Cuz remember, ur spending more than a Lakh and what if its disappointing to him?? He should'nt feel bad like "jeesh, how I wish I had THAT ONE"

This is just an idea from me.
Keep us posted. Appreciate the effort ur taking.

Ps: My Gf has also promised me a Bullet after our wedding ( dunno if its gonne be a RIDEABLE or SHOOTABLE Bullet)
Never Argue with an Idiot !!!
He will bring you down to his level and beat you with his experience.

No sir, you got me wrong.
What I meant was if that if he gets the classic, he will end up spending time only drooling and riding!

In short TB isn't as charming as the classic
Plus TB is a boon for a pillion

This is a nice idea, but nothing beats a shining bike outside your house on the dday
                        and best of luck too!

what a coincidence.. A colleague of mine bought a Machismo for her hubby on his bday just about a couple of months back. Apparently he owned one in the past.

Never knew the Royal beast has such admiration coming from the fairer sex too.

I believe its a complete surprise planned by Sasha.

BTW sasha, I understand your caring for your hubby, plus I am very sure he is following this thread.
Since your hubby did not own a bullet in past then I guess he is more crazy about the looks than the dug-dug sound. He more wants to 'own' a bullet.

I suggest you walk to the showroom in your city, get the exact data and dont worry about fuel economy and maintenance part, your hubby will happily take care of that.

I think he'll be more happy to get a Thunderbird than a machismo since it turns more head on road.

                            @sasha's hubby - Am I right?
