  • Please suggest my first sportsbike

Hi to all xbhp members. I am a newbie in sports biking and I don't known much about sports bikes. As of now I have started learning but its still not enough so I am bit confused. I am asking you to make my dream come true since my younger age I wanted a sports bike, so if you all kindly suggest me a good bike (brand, year and all) so that i can buy it. Kindly suggest it in the budget of 6-7 lacs or may be less. Thank You.

      a tough one...

If you want legal stuff, below 6-7 L all you have now is the Yamaha R15 (don't kill me for that!) for about Rs 1.15L. Add the performance kit it would cost you abt .5L more.

In a few more days the Kawasaki Ninja 250 is being launched and expect it to be priced at about 3L.

Both are good learner's sports bikes.

The next option is a fantastic one at abt 10L - the Honda CB 1000 R.

Im not sure about new bikes... But try getting your hand at a legal second hand sports bike... Maybe people in the forum who already own one can help you find a good one... My only advice would be to go for a lower cc sports bike as you are still learning...

If this is the first time you are riding a bike powerful than a 150 cc bike, then i suggest you take on the Ninja 250 r blindfoldedly.

because its not just the money that you would need to spend on the 600 and the 1000's its also your life and other in stake.

a 31 bhp vehicle the Ninja 250 is at least 70% percent more powerful than the P220 FI at 20 bhp.

Get the speeds right with the Ninja and after a year or so, you will be ready to shift to a 1000' ner.

                  Cheers

the bikez page has listed the 600RR for an asking price of 3L!!! which is not baad at all, given at that speculated price we are going to get the ninja! Given the moolah i would have no hesitation grabbing the 600 given its in good condition and papers intact.

it doesnt seem to be a legal one ,most 600's are'nt . DRI is the most dreaded word for many superbike owners in india
