phew!!! one small spark and people are ready with canons(read DATA...mags,reviews and what not)!!!Originally posted by Wheel_Spin View PostLol can't stand a bit of criticism i guess? Anyway i still stick to my view that the OEM TVS tyres that my 160 was shod with were pretty bad. Used to loose grip pretty easily. Same was the case with my friend who has an black RTR. I am not comparing them with the R15's FYI. They are bad in their own way for a bike that has such fantastic handling & not only me but a lot of bike/auto mags including OD, ACI have put down the tyres on the RTR.
Hats off to you doing 25K kms on those and taking the bends and all. And no offence taken, we all have certain experiences and viewpoints.
Peace guys!!! Help the guy get a bike...am off

Thanks
Thanks to everyone for their feedback. I had my eyes on the FZ for quite some time.
I have a muscular built. I think the FZ would complement my physique.
I was very impressed by the P220's performance stats. The same goes with RTR 180. My friends tell me that the Karizma is one of the smoothest crotch rockets around.
I'm laying more emphasis on FZ16 and the Pulsar 180 DTSi.
As most of you are experienced riders, i believe you'll be able to sort it out for me.
Once again, your feedback is greatly appreciated.

wont say anything vout RTR 180....not ridden yet...
ZMA is still one of the smoothest performing bikes...well it's much more comfy than P220 because of its more upright position...u can have a look at this one also...
P180...tried and tested by time...but i dont know anything particular about new model...
and if u are planning 4 FZ....then have a look at FAZER too...(yeah...i know its costly...but much better looking....and as you said...money is mot a prob...right???)Live large...

Hmm!Originally posted by aamirjamal View PostHello everyone,
I am a college student, and I was looking forward to getting a bike for myself.I am not a very experienced rider. Infact, I am a beginner. But I am unable to decide as to which bike to go for.
I have the following bikes in mind:
(In no specific order)
Pulsar 180 DTSi, Pulsar 220 DTSi, Apache RTR 180, Yamaha FZ16, FZ-S, Fazer, R15, Karizma ZMR.
Money ain't a problem.
I am looking for performance and looks. I'm 5'7, 150 lb.
Suggestions welcome.
Aamir.
Looking down at ur list the only bike which rings a bell in my mind is R15 purely based on choice.
As u havent mentioned ur commuting style and usage etc.
Put some more light so that we can be a bit more specific.

Out of those i'd suggest the FZ16 based on your usage pattern. Butter smooth engine, slick gearbox, easy enough for a newbie and eye ball grabbin' style.Originally posted by aamirjamal View Post
