  • for a short height biker?

    Hello guys,

I am kinda short, about 160 cm (5 feet 3 -4), so I am just thinking that which bike would be comfortable/suitable for me. By the way, I really like the new yamaha bikes ie the FZ16 and R15. So which bike should I opt for if I had to buy one? Thanks in advance.

      Hi soumya_ano

If Height is the only concern the go for R15, its a best bike and easy to handle for shorties.
Not sure about Ninja, wait for few days TD both R15 & Ninja and decide upon

Hi soumya, the RTR160, Fz16 and R15 are all suitable for your height. I would suggest you decide your riding style and budget and go for the any of these bikes. Don't forget to take a test ride for each of them.

Oh it's more than worth the price. Btw the ninja also shares almost the same seat height as the R15 so even that should be good enough for you. As of now the predictions are in the 2.5L+ price bracket, just wait it out till the launch which is on 6th-7th & see what Bajaj has got up it's sleeve.

If you are buying soon, go for the R15, or wait for the Ninja.

What is the expected price of Ninja? Does it have any chance to be under 1.5 lacs?

no chance at all . you can get a used comet for around a lakh and its very low in height too

dude provide us more details so that we can help you better..

1.What type of bike you need? i mean you mean a smooth and comfortable type of bike or a bike that delivers good raw power and fun to ride ?(i mean the later type of bike will give you more acceleration and louder exhaust note but the refinement and the riding comfort will be not as the first type)

                          2. What is the use of the bike? is it mainly for city riding ?
DO you do long distance touring? Are you a person who go to tracks often ?

                          3. What is your budget? What is the mileage you are expecting?
Are you giving more importance to the pillion comfort (like you regularly//daily ride with ur GF and need a good pillion comfort or are you giving more importance to performance than pillion comfort )

If you can give such details it will help us to suggest better options for you ..

i agree with Jithu.btw, both d yammie bikes r suitable for short riders.R15 and the Fz series in their characters are poles apart...have a TD of both the bikes and then decide. And the ninja will be priced more than 2.5 lacs in all probability

I would mostly use the bike for city riding and in the highways. But right now, I would use it for like my pastime. I mean I would go for long drives in the highway, and sometimes would use it in the city. But in the future, it can be the other way round. My main purpose of buying the bike is to enjoy some fresh air once in a while and not for driving to work/college.

I can at the most stretch my budget to 1.20 lacs.

I don't care about the pillion rider!

Mileage, well anything above 40 is good.

I will not be a speed racer. Too many accidents are associated with my friends/relatives. I would love a bike which is comfortable and stable to ride on. That doesn't mean that I would buy a bullet or a moped. I want a bike which looks cool and drives well.
