if you can shell out 1 lakh close your eyes and go for ZMR . According to the available reviews it is any way superior to ZMA- R in all ways
and regarding mileage the mileage according to Bike India is above 45 .

mileage would be only arond 40...........45 is false...........

the r version lean tuned can give 42-44 at max.

ZMR is better for mileage, using Fi, and similar engine & gearing to ZMA...

Go for the ZMR mate! It returned about 58 km/l on the highway when Bike India tested it.

^: remember these figures are in test conditions. In city, yes, the ZMR will give u around 45. Our highway figures (for all bikes) are done at sedate speeds and not while going flat out.

Coming back to the topic, if u really have a running of 100km per day, then go for the ZMR. U will end up saving 3500-4000 rupees each year. This will bring down the difference u paid over a ZMA over time, plus u will also get a higher resale when u sell the bike. and then the goodies like the rear disc / full body / led tail / fi / oil cooler / fully digi console etc.

Agreed that you will save on fuel however there will be other expenses like maintainance will be higher compared to ZMA, Parking would be a issue as your bike will be new and people will fiddle around your bike and unfortunately if bike even have a minor fall faring cannot be saved with a leg gaurd and think about maintaince costs of all the goodies you get Rear disk brakes Digital console fuel injection(you cannot get your bike serviced outside you will be stuck with HH service center guys who have around 20-30 bikes to service on daily basis)

ZMR is much better in terms of performance than ZMA however ZMA is much more practical for both City and touring

                        Choice is yours Buddy

From both you can choose ZMR according to your requirement
                          B o D a C i O u S

                          Wander logue

Grand Southern Raid | Munnar | Yercaud | Ootacamund

The increase in performance is directly proportional to the size of the hole in your pocket :D

Choice between the two seems pretty straight forward. As per the review, the ZMR performs better than ZMA in all areas except price. So if you have no issue with the pricing, that leaves you with only one decision to make...looks. Only you can decide on that.
My opinion on looks viz-a-viz ZMA...Can't say as I've not seen it in flesh yet.

Regarding fear of damages/maintenance as some have pointed out. If one is to worry about such issues, one can never be able to own a nice bike/car. Imagine then, the fear of owning the Ninja 250. Or It'll be like saying I didn't buy 'R1' because it might get damaged or spares are too expensive.

Fear of maintenance is quite justified. Since majority of crowd will use it for everday use, where parking is always a issue. Also these plastic fairings are very scratch prone and a pain to remove and install. I read somewhere the total cost of replacing fairing will be 20k. So one has to consider all these factors while purchasing a bike.

If you doing 100km/day then no doubt it has to be ZMR. It would be a sheer delight to ride it on highways(assuming)!!
