I too am searching a bike for my dad (Aged 50), with a self start most probably this new year. Can I go for Zeus as this seems to have a very good low-end torque which can result in lesser gear shifts. Initially I planned for Disco 100, but Zeus seems to be a nice package with a little stretch in the budget.

Whether Zeus can be opted because my father rides more than 50KM+ a day. That is the reason I am hesitating "Bajaj" bikes as they are prone to reliability issues.

The scooters cannot with stand the heavy usage (50 KMS/day). That is the reason I am looking for a bike. Also comfort wise and safety wise I think bikes are far better than scooters.......

Umm,I would tell for an elderly person go for a scooter like Suzuki Access, bcoz Access bears the same engine as of Zeus and is also equipped with XTP which makes it a very fast and reliable scooter with huge amount of torque.A scooter is best for every day cruise of 50 to 70 kms......and more for an elder person because scooter is more comfortable for the aged backbone. You wont be happy with the non adjustable stiff suspension of Zeus,I own one for city commutes and I know it is pretty hard for the backbone, its ok for the youth but for an elderly person absolutely no no.A scooter is good at utility too........I mean one can carry bazaar and merchandise without fuss in a scooter in between.

So,if your Dad wud be able ride a scooter confidently then tell him to go for the scooter. Its better at his age.
