    Hey, happy to hear that u are having a good time with FZ! Have u ever faced what thunder was talking about ?

    And thanks for suggesting FZ-S, but I kinda liked the FZ16's styling better, its closer to FZ1 . Also, has anyone changed the mirrors in FZ ? If so can u suggest one ? The ones that come with it look awkward, and I am so used to rear-view mirrors that I dont wanna remove them.

      hey another happy fz owner here....

      firstly yes the alloy quality is not that gr8..but that is keeping in mind that they dont just break up on instant breaking or something....its just not in the same league as the rest....sry bout that but thats the truth....

      second yes many ppl change the mirrors to rtr's rvms....u can if u wanna....

      mileage is one thing where i have faced utmost efficiency... since my 1500kms i have ripped the bike to hell and back...110kmph with a pillion...but i still get mileage round 36-38kmpl...

      dude...one advice...buy the bike u want to ride...each one has faults..but if u dont want buy the one u like u will regret it....its more about the passion than about analytical thinkin....
      the first time i saw the fz...i knew this was the bike i had to have....

        Yep totally agreed. My heart wants me to go ahead and buy it. But since this is my second bilke, I just needed some more thinking before i went ahead

          YAMAHA rims are not THAT bad but they are weaker than the rest.

              Hmm.. that is disappointing. But i guess you cant have everything!!! And worst case, will I be able to replace them with better ones? ( I dont even know whether we have such wide rims in the market )

                see no need to replace them....we are all just saying that these are not ideal rims...we can get better ....

                relax...buy the bike...go for the fazer if you can....i have come to realize the the extra 10k is worth the investment.....

                  Yeah.. I think i was getting a bit nervous . Now that u mention fazer, I dont think anything has changed other than the looks ? I did like the looks but from some angles the front fairing looks awkward.. Doesnt seem to jell well with the rest of the bike. But then again its my opinion.

                        1. Has anyone faced any problems yet in FZ for not having a kick start ? If I install an anti-theft device will it impair battery performance ?

                        No problems so far, but dude, do not install the anti theft system. not a smart thing to do. but then again the service centre guy or any local mechanic would be able to give you a better advice.

                          Finally bought it!

                          Hey Guys!

                          Sorry for being inactive for such a long time! Finally bought my FZ16 black last week. Thanks to all you guys for helping me take that decision! I have some things to discuss which I guess will be more appropriate to have in the ownership thread.

                            @Leodanin or @All - Any idea why Anti-theft is not recommended? I am planning to install one on my CL350, any disadvantages in it?

                              Well, there isnt much of an issue with an anti theft!

                              However, at times these devices go kaput at extremely low temperatures or in Rain. Not a very often case but this would be the last thing one wants to face at a very unfriendly altitude or place.

                              However, while installation, make sure the guy does not tamper the stock wiring and you ask him the quickest and the easiest way of uninstalling the device. You never know when you may need to uninstall it!

                                Best buy ever.

                                I would reccomend FZ16 to anyone who uses it mostly for city purposes. It's low and middle grunt makes it perfect for the streets (and its not named lord of the streets for nothing!). If you are a tourer, i wouln't completly reccomend it. It sucks with a pillion on the highway. But, if your going solo, its good. If your not a power freak and you would like a bike with medium power, good looks and awsome handling, THIS IS THE STUFF.

                                If you dont mind the looks and the brand value, go for Apache. Its a very nice bike and all. But according to me, it lacks class.
                                It's not what you ride, it's your attitude that counts.
