  • New 'to be launched' Pulsar / Passion Pro / Shine

I have been following xbhp for quite sometime. But today I decided to post for the first time.

I am going to buy my first two wheeler in early next year. I like the powerful 150cc bikes but have decided to settle for something in the lower cc.

    Here are my requirements

    1. I am basically a city user, so want a bike which is good in traffic
    2. Want Electric start, good suspension and disc brakes if possible
    3. Budget is around 50-56K
    4. Want decent fuel effciency and Power combination.

Don't want to look at the Gladiator since I don't see it on roads also my friends who own it are not happy with its fuel efficiency. Don't want the Stunner either since I dont like a fixed fairing. I wanted to book the Passion Pro for its fuel efficiency and electric starter and also fits my budget. But then it is just a 100 cc bike. I also have the Shine in consideration. But then the Shine is like a bike for an Old Guy. I want something which looks young. I came to know about the new Pulsar 135. Wanted to know if it really would be a 135 cc and will priced around my budget. Should I go for a bike which is very new in the market?

    What do you think guys?

Let the new Pulsar be unveiled; it would give you a better perspective.

Dude.. Shine is a worth product for the price range which you have given, Also I dont think Passion pro has been delivered with the front disc yet.You can also check Suzuki zeus or TVS DS 125(with twin spark) within your price range.

News has already flashed & is confirm that new Pulsar is coming... no matter if its 150/135. What U get is definately a new ergonomics, good proportions & a completely new makeover in this new baby.

U have to wait & it's only matter of 14 days as of now, this is definately going to fit in your budget (less or more) & will be Talk of the Town when launched.
You must be the change you wish to see in the world

Yes, the passion pro doesn't come with a disc brake.

I hardly see any Zeus 125 on the and also the design of the Zeus is very very boring. I want a sporty looking bike.

Also the TVS has been on sale for a long time but still people hardly buy it. I know that there have been a few upgrades for the Flame but I don't want to buy something which people don't like to buy.

If not Zeus, try shine, else glamour, find out glam-pgmfi prices in your place if it's within your budget, go and get it, it's the most fuel efficient bike in India, has superb engine....

PGM-Fi? its all hype-hefty premium-not much in returns.
Pay 10-15 K extra for what? 5-6 kmpl extra? and same performance. the maths is not that difficult.

I hate the glamour as it looks like a Chinese bike. plus the red frame yet just like Govinda on streets .
Shine is ok and I see it around in Pune but then I will wait for a few weeks and see how the new Pulsar turns out to be.

I also know how you post here @ xbhp, so I'd rather take advice from someone else. thanks

about zeus.....styling is only for few days....engine reliability matters....go for the shine...its a neat bike.

Discover 135 is worth giving a try.Even the shine, though it looks boring,is the most practical....I don't understand how you consider shines styling as boring when the other bike you're looking at is passion-pro.Don't you think shine is a little more decent?...
It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

I suggest you to wait for a few days and check out the P135. If you like the final product, go for it, else you can go for the Shine.

Amlost convinced to get the Pulsar 135LS

After going through the first impression of the Pulsar 135LS in xBhp, now I am almost convinced on getting the new Pulsar 135LS.

This new Pulsar seems to be a very very good value for money bike. Much better than the Shine, Stunner, Gladiator or the Flame.

looks killer in green and the specs are pretty impressive + u get the HONDA reliability.
