I did a back to back test ride to A180 & R15 few months back. I found A180 to be more suited for city application. R15 had bad initial. It takes a long time to wake up

A180 on the contrary was eager to perform even with pillion on board. Picture this, you are doing say 60-70 and slow down to 20-30 for a speed breaker. And then when you accelerate A180 'feels' lot quicker.

If you ride consistently over 100kmph, R15 might be useful. For everyday riding on streets A180 it is.

I am not sure which dealer is good in Bangalore. Pacer sucks! Too much attitude.

Members here on xbhp don't have good things to say about Orion either.

I think you will have to tolerate them till the warranty period expires.

What I want is speed with a great pickup like the RX135. If the R15 doesn't give me that at 20-30 but above 100..I guess i'll have to tolerate that cos from the earlier postings..it seems to have the x factor

hey go for the R15 ,you said you wanted looks , the R15's got plenty of that , the rear tire is there for a purpose so leave that out ... it's the best thing in the category right now , and since money doesn't seem to be the main criteria , i'm sure most would recommend it ...

Pacer Yamaha is where i got my bike from (FZ16) . they are a good bunch of professionals there , no problems whatsoever with them , after sales service has been really good .

the A180 is good too , but probably looks similar to the other apache's hence a slight monotony there , ( i personally din go for it coz of the height factor , i'm 6ft so was a bit difficult for me ) ... so all in all , got to weigh the pro's n con's , but if your heart is set for YAMAHA , then R15 is the way to go ! .
People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

Yes Pacer Motors is in Infantry Road.
Also Bangalore Wheels in Rajajinagar Rajkumar Road is good with after sales service. There is Bridgestone TVS in the same road and Zen Motors in Chamrajpet which is good for TVS ASS.

Hello yammie fans.. I had a query.
I know this might not be the best placce to post this.. but here goes..
How much FE can someone who gets an R15 'Realistically' expect?

Because i have an aquaintance whose R15 is up for sale in Nasik and part of the reason is due to low FE (his words were 'less than 22') under semi sane riding. Also, he wasnt much impressed with the performance bit either. For the time being i have recommended him a P220 (coz i absolutely adore mine). But still i was curious that what may be wrong with his vehicle because most owners here arent that disappointd with their steeds. His bike is 8 months old with 9k on the odo.
