    Looking to get a 150cc

    Hi !! everyone
    guys i want to purchase a new 150cc bike and i'm very new to biking, my criteria is

    1) mileage-app. 40 - 45
    2) good Handling
    3) no vibrations
    4) Looks++
    5) Engine Reliability


    other details--
    Height- 5'5
    weight- 58kg.

    daily travel of 5 to 7 kms,on weekends about 80kms.

    i have shortlisted -

    cbz x-- good bike but lack of front style, my height dnt go with it...
    hunk- dnt like it..
    fzs- it appeals me but mileage sucks.
    unicorn-- old looks though good bike.
    pulsar 150-- it looks gud(bt a very common bike)..dnt knw abt its seat height.
    gs150-dnt knw abt.
    apache-- i like it, but it is high on power(i m a begainer)
    p135ls--- dnt knw

    one post so many question and ya a very confused one....... hope u wil help me out, thank u all in advance

      Among the ones you shortlisted my take would be(going by your requirement) :

      1. FZ-16 : Ridden sanely it will return you around 40-45 easily dude and rest as you say you want LOOKS++ its again this one

      2. Apache 160 : You will get that mileage easily but am not sure how gud it would be for a beginner

      3. P135 : This machine is already creating ripples everywhere by the figures on paper and our xBhp pals have already posted a positive review on its performance.Its sure gonna put some the present 150s to shame

      Grab a test ride of the three and take the final decision.

      My vote for FZ16...

        I would like to add to the above post and ask you to look at the FAZER. And BTW, height and weight has got nothing to do with the bike, unless you super tall or something. I was 54 kgs or something when i started riding the bullet, the damn rear shocks wouldnt even compress half a cm. And now i ride it like the wind...

          If I were you my choice of order would be...
          1. FZ16/Fazer
          2. Unicorn
          3. CBZ/Hunk
          4. Pulsar 135/Apache

          & would like to correct a statement from "no vibrations" to "comparatively less vibrations"

          Awareness + Skill is what keeps you out of harm's way
          ATGATT + Awareness + Skill means you might Live To Ride another day

            Welcome to Xbhp !

            Do post a Intro mate! Your profile says you own a FZ special edition(?)If you wanna move on from the FZ into something better.. check out the GS 150.. Butter smooth engine, Comfortable riding and a great mileage.
            Older issues such as rusting and vibes have been ironed out in the new batch. The bike does look odd but is a definite head turner. Overall it is a Commu-tourer capable of magic on the highways and the city!

            One huge problem I've heard from the owners is the Kerb weight.149 Kgs deprives the vehicle of the inital punch but is a added advantage on the highway, riding with heavy cross winds!

              well...i own a fz....and fz fits ur requirements perfectly..dont think back ...jus go for it...its a minimum maintainance bike....
              sigpicGirls are like roads, more the curves, more the dangerous they are.

                Just go for FZ/Fazer/FZS if you are beginner and can bear a bit of hit on mileage side.
                Otherwise P135LS or say Stunner125 can also be a good buy in a downsize category.

                Unicorn and GS are really good bikes too, but believe me those being heavy feel heavy -- but if someone become habitual with them, those are just excellent bikes.

                I am more or less with the same built as you, and find Apache/FZ series most comfortably manageable bikes in 150 category.

                  Like most are suggestion, I agree "FZ16/s" seems to be tailored made for you.

                  On a side note, I would consider anything below 250 cc suitable for begineers. My first ever bike is ZMA-R which I got about 6 months back. I consider my bike a a nice and small commuter which fits my purpose perfectly and is very happy with it.

                    FZ16 makes a lot of sense bro...it's stylish and also fits your other requirements. and i agree with kaynmantis.No bike below 250cc should be difficult for a beginner to handle....it's just a false interpretation.

                        Actually my own bro has owned this vehicle, he get around 32 to 35 kmpl and a maximum to 40 kmpl on highways, his pocket money is just double compared to me , in that case i am unable to afford............
                        and about fz my bro told me that if i total the bike then it will be in parts !!
                        gs 150 is a good one if the weight of the bike dnt create a issue.

                          1) Unicorn
                          For:
                          Excellent refinement in its class beats almost every bike.
                          Good mileage(50+), excellent reliability.

                          or

                          2)GS150R
                          Superb refinement level(after unicorn.)
                          Good mileage(50-55kmpl my friend gets regularly),6 gears.

                          If you want to consider a lower cc bike than look at Pulsar 135.
