  • Bike-to-be bought....in Feb! Help me...select!

Hey. M thinking(*edit: And now confirmed*) about buying a new bike within the mid-week of February. I kinda have been through a hell of a lot of forums and threads trying to figure out 4 a nice selection for me. I am 5'9" tall....am somewhat on the muscle-side frame....So some bike look puny compared to the rest against me.
After much thinking through, i have kinda zeroed in 3 bikes for me.
    1> Pulsar 180 ug4
2> Apache 180 RTR (m preferring it little coz of its hair-line edge over p180 )
    3> Karizma R

I know this has been going through the heads of several bike-byres like me, but i m in a really big dilemma now. I have taken the test drive for all these 3, Loved and liked all of them, but just cant decide, since all these bikes are within my budget range of 70k-80k(on-road price)....so just thinking in technical terms. And m a medical student, so sometimes got to go in Hospital ward duties at odd times, so wont be doing cruising much......but what do ya guys think? Based on reliability, mileage, endurance and durability, overall comfort and performance. or should i wait till the launch of the Apache 180RTR with ABS??? But then the price wud go soaring high for it naa?! So please O' please help me out and please kindly refer ur PointS of approval of the bike too. Thanks for your help.

that's quite a tough choice to make.If you're more into performance and stuff, the RTR it is.Zma too is very well rounded. It's big bike factor might help coz you mentioned that you're muscley(if that's the word)...If you want a mix of both,P180 makes a lot of sense and you do get a lot of features for the price you pay...

I went to the showroom today with my Dad who wanted to atleast see the bike b4 i bought it. And he seems to not like Karizma at all. Dont know why? And about p180, we both liked the Red-one there. And in case of Apache, he like the matt-grey one. This thus let to another confusion on selection.
And i m kinda "muscly"....not too much tho!! I m like lets say---Karizma zmr looks kinda a little big on me While Passion + looks a wee bit small on me!!!
        ..
        .

Aaaah....the dilemaa! Since i need all the factors included, the pulsar 180 or the Apache 180 shud be narrowed on in!!!

Why don't you look at Pulsar 220? It is better than 180 or apache. Apache vibrates very much and I personally feel that it is undergeared.

D new 220 dtsi-s makes a lot of sense here if you are looking at d a180 coz you get one at d same price point...what im saying is,narrow in on d rtr180 and p220s instead of the 180...

No need to think further if those are the only 3 choices. Pick up the ZMA-R. You wont regret it

Else you can also consider the 220 (Either F or S, your call). Fantastic machinery!

U said u not muscley enough to ride Zma R/.
So this rules out even the 220 F...

I recommend u to go for p220 S since u liked the looks of 180..and u can that looks with more power in its heart as 220 S..
                  Go n grab it

yaah. Actally i thot bout the new p220-s version! But since it crosses my budget i cant buy it. Plus i hav an overseas seminar to attend too, so gotta save up for shopping out.
And about the karizma r, i heard that altho its an awsome bike with refinement and such, but it gives a very lower then avg. mileage. Plus, the bike is kinda old.....but thats just me! There may be a few new kinks here and there tho!!
P180 is a great bike but i m just worried coz i kinda have a phobia bout not havin kick-starts! But som1 told me that pulsar's self-strt is top-notch quality and wont go bad so easily. What do ya guys thinks?
And Apache is good.....but new rtr is here too many in the streets and i m guessin that in a few months time, i mite over-run pulsars
please lend me ur comments guys!
