I think you didnt get me...what i meant was that the zma is pricey by around 7k compared to P220s here in blore...

And about the karizma r, i heard that altho its an awsome bike with refinement and such, but it gives a very lower then avg. mileage.

Dude.....just by my personal experience....i've just tried to find out what average my bike gives in different conditions...

      1) 2 Litres Speed - Major Riding the bike at high speeds on Highways 110-120 and little city traffic - Average was 30 kmpl (60 kms)
      2) 2 Litres Speed - City riding...major traffic and little bit of highway commute - Average was 36kmpl (72kms)
      3) 2 Litres Speed - The highway riding at speeds of 60-80 and little city traffic - Average was 47.5 KMPL (95 kms)

So i love the fact that i can push my bike to get the desired power and speed at the cost of the mileaga i will get....else i want to get mileage so i can sainly ride my bike and get that out of it......

A nice balanced bike i would say...

      sigpic

IMO, your confusion is sorted out already.

So don't go with ZMA. That makes only 2 of them

So now you've an added advantage with this bike

You haven't mentioned which color you like? Incase both of you like the same color then go based on the priority of ownership review, FE, price, service, maintenance cost & so on.

If both of you don't prefer the same color, then either you buy the color your dad likes or convince your dad so that he likes the color you buy. If this is not possible go for P180 UG4.

I guess thats true. But according to sources, i learned that Pulsar seems to be worn-out by 2 yrs. And i know that it depends on the maintainence we put in it, but i guess the refinement goes on for it.
BTO, i wanted to ask you guys about the spare parts thing for the bikes!! I know hero honda gives a pretty decent value. But what about Pulsar and Apache. The showroom guys all tell that its pretty affordable. But i cant just believe in that right!!
In case of power too, Apache beats them all by just a mark(17.3 BHP).
In mileage Pulsar beats them(depends on the riding though)
In durability Hero Honda is at the tops.

HH gives a good quality better than Apache, IMO. Pulsar - yes the life is for 2 years when ripped, if not 3-4 years on how you maintain.

In terms of durability, Apache & ZMA are almost the same. Spares? I don't think that's going to be an issue at all for any of these bikes. If I can find spares for BYK, Rx100, then these are very easy to find. The spares that you'll need for first 5 years, max, will be clutch, accelerator, brake cables, turn light bulbs, fuse, turn light assembly, rear brake bulbs, head lamp bulbs & assembly, speedometer/tach cables, side mirrors, footrest/kicker rubbers, parts from self start motor, minor parts with timing chain, seat cover - this is all I can think off. By this time you'll go for another bike.

From my personal point of view... I think if pulser 220 crossing your budget then the only bike that will give you a good feel about riding is apache rtr 180, It's refined than 160 and fi models.

I know it vibrates a lot, some time which is irritating and can cause discomfort. but if you are looking for speed and acceleration you should go for rtr 180. For me it was always a speed and acceleration factor i went, now you can decide whether you want a smooth drive with a lesser higher speed and acceleration or you want to get that edge of higher top speed and acceleration with a little vibration factor....
