Honda Dio is not 110 cc, it is just 102 cc (engine is not upgraded in the new version). I have a question for you, did you ride Avaitor any time?

I have a good experience with all the scooter you mentioned. My order would be

        1. Aviator 110cc (the best looking and best handling scooter of the lot)
        2. Activa 110 cc
        3. Honda Dio
        4. HH Pleasure.

For a boy, the Aviator looks superb and buy it and you start loving.

Why did I rate Aviator the best?
        • It has got the best handling and ride quality (No jolts to handle bar even in potholes like other scooters) because of excellent, high quality front telescopic forts. The bigger front wheel allows you take quick turns with great stability.
        • The riding position is excellent and commanding.
        • The seat is wide enough to carry a pillion very comfortably.
        • Big floor board allows you to carry many luggage, including a 20L water can (for example)
        • The 22L underseat storage engulfs a big half-face helmet easily and has more space to carry things.
        • 6L fuel tank.
        • Above all, unmatched build quality.

What's the purpose of buying the scooter? Buy something based on the requirement & not for just the sake of it.

To begin with, just go through this thread & some of the pros & cons of scooters are discussed to death - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/what-bik...ught-week.html

Since I do not know when you intend to purchase, you can alternatively consider - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/115...years-end.html

I thought the scooter is for you and that is why I suggested Aviator. Aviator has high seating position and it is difficult for avarage women's hight (of couse, I have seen many a lady on Aviator).

Activa is the best then, but the waiting peiod would be no less than 3 months. The 110cc of Activa has 15% more mileage than previous 102 cc engine and you can expect mileage between 47-52 kmpl depending on riding conditions.

Pleasure is a good choice for ladies, but it is still the old 102 cc engine. same case with Dio. The new Dio looks super sexy with cool graphix. I guess the Dio also has around 1-2 months waiting period.

Ok, since its for a girl again, its best to go in for Pleasure or Scooty or Access in my opinion. Again, back to requirements, depending upon how much weight she can handle, expected features & budget settle in for Aviator/new Activa.

Mileage one can expect anything from 50-55 on very sane rides & well maintained.

                Good Luck

That's interesting. Where're you from? 2 months back when I enquired about Activa's availability they said a week in Chennai. Not sure now though. Eventually he went in for Access.

Rodeo, not sure, but I wish one for myself It comes with a good set of features that are way above Indian scooters. Since its a reputation of Kinetic, I've my own doubts, however, the engine's roots are from Italy which sounds OK.

Rodeo is good and it is nothing but Flyte. My wife has been using the Flyte for the past 2 years. No problems. Build quality is not great compared to Honda, but in general is good.
                      • Easy and Zippy ride and excellent handling. The puny looks do not intidimate girls and they love it.
                      • The leargest underseat storage (25 L) with lamp
                      • Front Fuelling system (petrol tank in the floor board)
                      • Smooth and refined 125cc engine, and excellent torque.
                      • Front telescopic forks.
                      • Key hole shutter
                      The negatives of the Rodeo
                      • Low mileage (expect around 40 kmpl in city)
                      • Low ground clearance (Underbelly touches even the normal speedbrakers with pillion), a very big drawback.
                      • Shoddy aftersales.
You can give a look at Suzuki Access.
                      • Class leading torqey 125cc engine, smooth and refined. Excellent pick up and the best in class (0-60 in 8 sec)
                      • Excellent build quality
                      • Overall good handling (but not as great as Aviator)
                      • Nice underseat storage (22L)
                      • 6.3L fuel tank
                      • Key hole shutter
                      • Looks really bland and outdated
                      • Low mileage due to bigger engine (40-42kmpl in city)

to confuse you more.. ladies generally prefer TVS.. they are lightest of all and quite girlish too.. if it's not a surprise gift, finalize the best technology wise and let her take a test ride..

if travel is pretty limited one, electric scooty is a good option.. no tension of fuel, registration and licence

The engine is from Taiwan-based SYM. This company is the number one scooter maker in the world. It gives life time warranty to its engines (not in India)
