      My dilemma

I know all the merits and demerits of both the bikes and the different classes they belong to..but still, i too am stuck in this dilemma.

Zma R or FZ 16? with the below mentioned points:

      1. I'm out of India, I'll be using my bike only when in India or it will be occassionally used by my nephew.

      2. The bike will remain unused for quite some time........so in such cases which one is advisable?

      3. Cost of Spares and mileage is NOT a concern....BUT the spares should be AVAILABLE EASILY.

      4. Mostly i'll have a pillion rider with me on my rides.

      5. My ride will be 70% city and 30% suburbs.

      Please advice...!!

              Thanks guys.

              People suggesting ZMA:

              1. Came to know the bike is not smooth until 2nd service...so?!

              2. Spares non-availability (agreed i'll not need them for atleast 2yrs)?

              3. Will Karizma be phased out?

              4. Isn't the split between Hero and Honda a concern? Already it's only stickering job being done on all the latest launches.

Right now i'm inclined more towards FZ, say FZ - 70% and Zma - 30%.

FZ scores on looks, rear tyre, pick-up and engine refinement.

If any of u guys can sway my decision!!

+1 fz has very short gearing .and struggles to attain top speed.
where as zma is complete bike whether use it as city bike or do touring .
it got a lot of torque.and can do 125+ very easily.

pickup? FZ has better pickup than most 150cc bikes, but defnitely not the ZMA. The karizma scores better there.
yamaha and honda are par on engine refinement.

KArizma or ZMR could do the job for you & fits your requirements the best. As a owner of FZ, trust me, it is a fantastic machine but it is not as capable of what a karizma can do
+1 Mitz, i totally agree with you.
The FZ is indeed a good touring machine but in the long run you feel the need for more power.

                          Hey,

for long distance touring... nothing beats a zma/r proven tourer.. you can see enough testimonials posted all over this site.

spares scenario is dependent upon svc to svcs...

plus at a later stage if you want more performance & FE upgrades.. Joel's workshop is the place to visit

FZ an awesome sports commuter but definitely loses out to zma/r when you want to do triple digits on the highway... so the answer is pretty clear..

                          cheers

                            Think About CBR 250 R

                              It's FZ - 55% and ZMA - 45% now

Thanks buddy, though 250cc is not on cards but i would prefer baby Ninja to CBR.
