hey thanks for ur suggestion, but rtr is a big NO-NO!!actually am quite fond of faired bikes.....really in a huge dilemma now.....r15 seems to be the perfect option but then the height factor comes in.....zmr all in all seems strange....

nyways i have my exams comin up,and am gonna book the bike my mid may....so jus keepin my fingers crossed, that by some sheer luck,a miracle,r125 gets launched!!!and really am waitin to see the new rtr 250...hope its not just a speculation.....

NINJA....though id do nythn to get my hands on the ninja now,but its my first bike, and am more fond of either the cbr 600rr or yamaha R1!!!

but no harm in asking my parents

        ninja > p220 > r15

ninja 250 has now come to india...... and it does have a long history with good r&d

its my own opinion but as ur a heavy built and u have a gr8 height u can even try a cruiser like avenger or thunderbird ..... believe me in city driving they may look like a challenge but they are pretty comfortable once u get used to it with the best seat in the class (he he) although pillions hate the uncomfortable small seats....

        OTHERWISE

go test ride a few..... and the bike which makes ur heart jump take that one....

        Ride one my friend

oh thx for ur suggestion.....i bet the best seat is of the busa eh??(do get it sooon!!!)

nyways, yea i rode my friends thunderbird twin spark,i found no issues with it,and i might add i Finally was able to make heads turn--in a good way--

(did turn heads while ridin the r15 but in a bad way people were like is this crazy or what---or---whers the bike--all i can see is the person goin really fast--some of the taunts i heard)

but then the maintainence issues are a lot with RE especially and since am just 2 years into my college--not earning--i dont wanna be stranded beggin for money

an my love for SBK,i think can be truly justified by the r15 or a better faired bike,,,,,...

HH continues to baffle me as the sales guy "says" hes delivering bikes every week whereas theres a drought of ZMRs in almost all cities.....

NINJA is totally out of question....it is afterall a SBK...im gettin my first bike.....need to get my hands in shape and my pockets heavy......

Imma actually put off buying a bike till I can save up for Ninja (or its like... if they come >_>)

I must get a superbike coz I hear them calling out to me...

                /lame

On a more serious note, I went to 3 service stations (HH) and got 3 different responses: 3 Month waiting
                4 month waiting
                6 month waiting

Also met a guy who was riding a ZMR:

According to him, the R15 is SO not worth it coz its a 150cc bike that sells for a higher price than a 250 cc bike and its very slow only getting speed after 8000rpm.

I was in the "colon O" state for about 30 seconds, then just had to walk away before ... well... yea.

haha....well good luck to you for ur SBK....im a lil impatient so will be gettin nuthn more than a r15....

actually anyone who has a bike is bound to defend his own bike....hence zmr guy sayin r15 is just 150cc...well thts just natural.....people often just ignore the technology behind the bike....

i met this guy an he was like p220 is the best....220 cc.....21bhp etc etc...i asked him whats 'bhp' an he was like ..ummmm....well its more than the other bikes so must be good.....lol.....

by the way,am gonna go an get some ownership reviews of TBTS.....lets see....

Sadly I know that the Ninja is not likely to end up here.

That leaves R15 (too small), ZMR (... no comments) and Classic 350 (Hmmm)

need a lil help in choosing a bike!!!please bear with me!!

ok so am 6'1,and kinda heavily built.....and this is gonna be my first bike after my good ol honda activa.....

i like to cruise on a bike, but once in a while i like to rip the engines, ride fast, take risky turns, risky overtakes, zipping through traffic.....

hence ive finalised quite a lot of bikes....

thunderbird(everyone says looks the best on me,i like it as a touring bike but then i cant zip through traffic which i really like, and am getting it cheap as well through CSD)

p220(in my opinion this bike is last in my priorty, didn like its handling much)

zmr(not yet ridden hence no comments)

                        fazer(love its handling,accelration is OK)

r15(now this is the baby i love,i havnt ridden it for more than a couple of kms,but the way it slides in between traffic, its accleration, handling is wayy awesome, mileage is allrite as well)

but then people say tall people get back pains while riding r15 for long,it doesn even look good on tall people)

hence im really confused between thunderbird,r15...and if not these then zmr, fazer and p220......

i also loves SBKs,but since i cant afford one right one,i think to myself that a r15 can get me as to a SBK(not in term of performance, but by feel )

but then i also like to cruise, take long rides,comfortably.....

                        its alll soo damn confusing!!!

                        please help me!!

                        thx
                        VJ

                        p220 - Best in price

zmr- Best but not for INDIAN ROAD

                        Fazer-TOOOO much (75K) for 150 cc

R15- best in all price, power, breaking, and ofcs style

                          btw-am 6 and weighing 93...............

                          whats yours!!!!

can you help me choose mine as i am having the same bikes in contention as you(r15),as u have tested all the bikes.....

am currently having a unicorn, so presently either a r15(test ride scheduled after 28th of this month) or nothing till i save enough for ninja.........

but the problem is that having ridden unicorn for 6 years, totally fed up with the bike and the total ergonomic facade!!!!

                          help!!!

                              hey man,

well im quite right like you

anyways, for me i liked r15 the best---cause of its really awesome handling, looks, mileage, smoothness of the engine, almost everything/.....

but then when it comes to thunderbird, its a totally diff bike as compared to r15,but then if u fancy the 'thump'(even i do),and handling was allrite(u cant compare it with r15 which is small and zippy),seating postion is great--very relaxing--mileage is also pretty descent.....but then ive heard of a lot of maintaiece issues.....

both the bikes are eye catchers.....hence the 'greatest confusion'
