Budget? And usage pattern? I mean.. Highway / City %age
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

choose from fz, unicorn, dazzler or GS150R. These 4 bikes fit your requirement list & also have less backache problems due to comfortable seating posture.

the gladiator has the best comfortable seating position but it has got its power in higher rpms. Which means lower mileage, better top end, frequent gear shifts. The p135 is a very good VFM considering its gadgets, power etc etc but still it is costlier than gladiator. Top speed wise in the mid segment(125-135cc) the p135 comes first & then the gladiator & then the rest of the bikes (cant say about stunner fi). If you are tall then you better not go to select the p135 because it would be little bit cramped for taller persons.

You are in a dilema just like i was!!!!!!!!
                        my height: 181cms
                        weight: 72kg
i m a college going guy.......so need to save some money on the front of fuel economy.
I do decent amount touring. But needed somthing that would be diff and i found Pulsar 135 LS.
I choosed Pulsar 135 LS not only because all the above criterias fullfilled but also that i Got a 4 VALVE m/c.
You know what in my college dr r p220,fazer,r15......but who cares....I know that only 4 words r enough for all of them : "4 Valve......Fuel Economy".

Its kerb weight is just 122kg.So light on handling.
And as u said roads are clr so fuel economy 'll be upto 58 kmpl(city)(minimum 55 kmpl).
for seating pattern it is slightly sporty position.i think if you adjust the rear skrs then it'll be a fine compact bike for you.

If you need more info go to pulsar 135 LS ownership thread.
                        or
go to a showroom and take a test drive of it.

                        I m Sure U gonna Love it.

or you have another option fz16 but it's mileage sucks u...

these two are best for you...

even i m also a owner of new FZ but i like to suggest u Honda Unicorn Dazller
                          it's smooth it's comfortable good mileage 55-60/ltr 150cc
                          front and rear disc brakes

@TS Both FZ and Dazzler will exceed your budget. The best pick would be RTR160 (Rear disc.. if it fits your budget). Its a Pocket rocket, and you will love the performance + handling but you have to tolerate the vibes. Do a test ride.

Or Else you could try Discover 150 or P135 for decent FE with light bikes and good handling, perfect city bikes. Discover 150 is the most refined engine ever on a bajaj.

if u're looking for something in the 150cc range then i would suggest the Hunk as i find it to be the best feature packed VFM bike with the least amount of hassles in it's category.
if a 125cc would do then i would put my money down on a honda stunner carb. it lacks the power on the highway but it's a nimble bike for city riding and good looking too(amongst it's competition that is) plus it's got good FE and reliability won't be an issue and who can forget the oh-so-smooth honda gearbox

Apache- i seriously doubt that it'll be in ur budget. and even if it does the vibrations above 4k rpm are a bit too annoying and i personally did not like it's build quality
                              The purpose of biking -
100cc- to get from point A to point B
                              125cc- to get there fast
150cc- to have some fun while getting there
200+cc- to start from point A and forget when point B passed by

It's not the ride but the rider that matters!
