    Topic Approved.

There is absolutely no comparison at all between the Fazer and a bike like the P220, atleast not when it comes to performance!

if you want to go for performance go for p220 nothing can much its perf in below lac bikes....

and if you want to go for looks the choice is entirely yours.... both the bikes are good looking if p220 has a projector than fazer has the twin headlight setup....

although the stability for fazer is greater than that of p220 because of the much wider rear tire.....

          Twister vs RTR 180....???

and people start comparing the durabilities and stabilities and fuel efficiencies of both the bikes....!!!

@Michael Scofield... for your particular purpose of breaking out of prisons.. look no further than P220

Jokes apart.. The P220 is a better performer than a Fazer on almost all grounds of comparison.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Any road, any day, any circumstances a P-220 will blow by a FZ/Fazer and it will especially be fun after 90kmph.

IMO the suspension/chassis and braking of a FZ/Fazer is way better than P-220.

@Devill-pick up ACI's Sep '09 issue and see amongst P-220/Fazer which bike is awarded the winner.

I agree with everything in the review but performance cannot be compensated.

It is not just because of its phat tire.

                  Hey bro,

Well if your usage is within city and you need road presence then go for Fazer. No doubt it turns heads. It has enough puff to go around the city fast. Don't expect it to be a pocket rocket. Acceleration is good till 80 and then it takes time to reach a ton. But I feel it suits your criteria perfectly.
Still....take a test drive and decide.

Thank you bro...I found your answer much more relevant than the others.

The P220 is definitely a VFM(220cc,21bhp @ reasonable price) ...but IMO only one thing is going against it....The fairing...it doesn't fit well for a 220cc,21bhp monster...at least a full fairing should have been there...

I know Fazer is costly for a 150cc bike...but definitely it has got the looks...and for city travel (which wont be more than 70km/hr) i think it wont be a turtle

Just had a talk with the showroom people. [Pune]
                      P220 - 80.4k and waiting time 20 working days
Fazer - 80.4k and spot delivery

one more point lost for P220

I don't think there is anything wrong in P220 Fairing...it's a semi-Faired bike..and full fairing will be of no use as the P220 Engine is Air and Oil Cooled..bajaj has not been able in casting of a liquid cooled engine as in the case for yamaha..not only bajaj...Hero Honda too was not able to do that as ZMR is too an oil cooled bike.

P.S : Michael_Scofield please dont post subsequently...it is considered as spamming..i am just warning you before any Mod do this..you can edit your Previous Post.

@Michael_Scofield on the performance front P200 is definitely the leader which is compared with R15, ZMR, ZMA, RTR180... so comparing with Fazer is not worth enough... Both bikes are good in their own respective Fazer has good road presence, better handling, looks(subjective) etc. on the P220 side its a screamer, you never get a bike in its price range, absolutely VFM(especially those headlights) etc.

Conclusion: i am not suggesting you any bike. take a TD and decide which suits your tastes...

P.S: please don't make multi posts.
Buddy you could have posted the title as Fazer OR P220 instead of Fazer vs P220... because especially in this "What Bike" section, take any threads which will end in sparks of brand wars or something like that...

MODS: I am just telling my suggestion only.

@Michael: The Fazer is far from a turtle, its quite fast for riding in city

I live in Delhi and go to Noida each day, my office is there. I take delhi-noida DND and at more than few occasions Fazer has overtook me quite stress-freely while I am doing close to 80-90 on my Bullet and on the contrary my bike's engine feels like exploding So there it is! Moreover, at 141 kgs its still quite light in its category, it only looks big. Performance is quite competitive against most 150ccs

Fazer IS an extremely nice bike and there's no reason not to buy it unless you are bitten by that stupid "expensive-150cc-bike" bug!! hehe ...go for it happily. Against P220, it is only quicker and faster than Fazer, otherwise, Fazer will ring rounds around it when it comes to cornering and handling which is very important for me atleast. Morever, you get better build quality and overall better quality product in Fazer in every sense

It all boils down to Quantity vs Quality when comparing P220 and FZ/Fazer

P220 is absolute VFM...it packs a lot for its price...21bhp+projectors etc...
P220's got loads in terms of quantity...but not in quality...the fairing vibrations are sad....the RVM are absolute useless.

Fazer is behind in terms of performance but everything about it is Quality.

Fazer is a good choice if you are not regularly riding on highways with bigger bikes where you WILL lag behind.
Fazer is overpriced but its your choice...both are good bikes...like i said buy the bike that suits your needs.
