you are wrong here dude as rodeo gives 40+ mileage in city and service centers are opened in all major and small cities in india and the sym engine is a boon for who loves to rip their scooters.

How many examples do u want of people still maintaining Shogun/Samurai? With a 2-stroke, its all about looking at the right places! I can even show u people still owning and maintaining their Suzuki Shadows. Have u heard of that vehicle?
FYI, I have an RTR Fi. Its done some 20K kms in 18 months and I took it to Leh. I also own an R15 and I can assure u many things that are a lot better on the TVS than the Yamaha.

what i said was with respect to activa. Of course the rodeo gives a 40+ mileage but when compared to that of the activa it would be low.

I had a short test ride of the Wego at the dealer's.....its a nice ride. nothing flashy, just a comfortable city scooter. Thats what I am looking at. plus, it has a metal body, I dont trust plastic parts........

See the video fully. Nice comparison between Wego and Activa.

Its a dream for any manufacturer to sell its products without having to spend in advertising.

TV Ad might be amusement / entertainment for us but certainly not for the manufacturers.
Proof: How about a 10 Lakh Rupees bill just for a single 10 sec slot on a popular channel, during primetime sound..??

Whenever you start seeing repeated ads on TV about a certain product, be sure that the manufacturer is desperate to "push" it to keep sales alive.
Proof: When did you last remember seeing a Hero Honda Splendor or a Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTS-i TV Ad?

Having said that, the Wego being a new product launch, TVS will advertise it sooner or later.. but even without Ads the Wego has started rolling on the roads. TVS will be over the moon for this.

But what happened to the "No Tension" Jive bike? Have hardly seen it on the road and mostly seen on TV so far (the worst fear for any manufacturrer).

Agreed. But reaching for the first time to the consumers requires some sort of communication and that is, Advertising/Marketing.

Only TVS knows how to screwup products with good potential.

And Pulsars and Splendors have attained their brand image only because of advertising. If you do your homework right then you dont need to keep on doing things regularly.Such strong is their brand image that, word-of-mouth publicity is enough.

And regarding Jive, Bihar has emerged as the top market in terms of sales in India.Even here it is yet to pickup. I think it will sell well in congested cities/towns.

Agreed, and that's why I had also stated that the "Wego" being a new product launch, TVS is bound to advertise it sooner or later.

The other day saw it upclose, the alloys look beautiful, prolly the best looking scooter out there, the build quality looked good, the switch gear could have been better [does not have that solid feel]. Overall it should sell very well for TVS, it will definitely dent the Honda market for sure [The waiting period for Honda's should come down now].

                                Hi

I am gonna book this Wego soon, so all wego owners , please let me know your ownership reviews .We have booked an activa, but it has looooong waiting period of 7 months . By the test ride of wego , we were really impressed by this machine ( i was mighty impressed by the smoothness and noiseless engine , since i own an RTR160 refresh RD , i m used to vibes and rough engine).. but i wanted actual ownership reviews ..
