Hey all...I finally ordered my bike.Karizma-R Black.Waiting Period is 2 months or so, But knew the showroom guy and he said he ll give in 2 weeks max.But there is only one problem, I stay in Hyderabad and this showroom is in Vijayawada which is like all in all some 350 Kms.It is being brought here by a guy i know the least about. And I dont expect him to drive it at 50-60 for the beast that Karizma is.Now ll that effect the bike badly or should I prefer the train. But the chances of the body getting scratched is very high in the train transport which again I dont want.I know I am saying every thing, but help me out on this.Pleaaasseee...and fast...

let him test ZMA Top Speed..Originally posted by Sweet Freedom View Postwell yaar...I actually thought about it, but its not feasible right now.I have to take a leave for that which I dont have. Will there be any serious issues if I let him get the bike from there?? The chances that he ll go slow on my bike on a clear high way is almost Zero...

350 kms is way too high...i wud say go for train i got my bike not a brand new though by train i dint find any scratch on my bike...only thing is u got to pack it sufficiently and hope that center stand is good...riding a bike below 50-60kmph will take him more than 8-9hrs and i dont think a person will hav patience to ride the bike at 50 on highways...no matter how much u pay him..ask the person if he can come in train sitting in the goods section with the bike.

Yes. Its called Run-in. This means that for a particular period of running your Bike, you allow the internals of your bike to rub against each other and let them have almost perfect clearances. The period varies from bike to bike. There is a Soft runin and the Motoman Runin.
You can google up these terms man. personally, I did the Motoman run in, but not many have the guts to risk it

yepp...what you heard is right....it is called running in period of your bike...like what felix.ragav said.....
Dont over rev your bike in this period ....and try to ride it under 5000k....and vary the engine speed time to time.....dont keep it at one constant rpm....all this till first 1000-1500kms....

look bro in the three things- quality/reliability, VFM, features we can get only 2 things in a single bike. The disc brake can be fitted if you are ready to pay a small premium.Originally posted by Sweet Freedom View PostYeah man...SZ150 is VFM but look at its features.I mean its really not having some basic features which we have in a 150 CC bike. One thing I felt was the front disc brakes. Its a typical elder people bike. She is out of My League...lol...
Why dont you go yourself & get that?? Why did you ordered it from vijayawada instead of hyderabad??Originally posted by Sweet Freedom View PostHey all...I finally ordered my bike.Karizma-R Black.Waiting Period is 2 months or so, But knew the showroom guy and he said he ll give in 2 weeks max.But there is only one problem, I stay in Hyderabad and this showroom is in Vijayawada which is like all in all some 350 Kms.It is being brought here by a guy i know the least about. You can get the bike from bus also (volvo). Maybe the chances of getting scratches is less. I didnt tried out this but one of my colleague has got her activa by the same method.NOT BEEN THERE NOT DONE THAT

If planning for new then go for Honda Unicorn OR Pulsar 150 DTSi because they will average around 45 to 50 and will suit you for your described body. Bajaj avenger is also OK but mileage will be less.Originally posted by Sweet Freedom View PostHey all...
I finally got my new thread starting rights and I already have my first big Question.
Something about myself, I am Aditya from Hyderabad.
and I am planning to get my first upgrade from a gearless to a geared bike.I am not that good at riding the geared versions, but then I feel its high time I take the initiative.I am 5'11'' , slightly more than, and 80+ weight. I know or may be I felt that the discovers and shines look very puny to me. So, I want to go for a 150CC or more bike.Like I said, I am from Hyderabad, the traffic almost close to a jam whenever I am out(except on weekends).
Budget : 75k-80k(Max)
Mileage : 40kmpl ~ Ok if 35.
Commute : Mostly City, Occassional Long Rides.
Waiting for advice...
PS: Thought of updating my pic...But in a community thats flooded with some serious and hardcore bikers, thought I ll put my pic once I get my RIDE...Help me out Guys...
