Hi guys. My name Is Harshit. I'm from Chennai. I'm a Malayalee but none of my friends actually consider me a Malayalee since i have been settled in Chennai since 1989..! Well My dad works for BHEL and mom is a home maker. Sister is studying.! Well thats how brief i can get about my Family.
Coming to my childhood, i have always been an experimentalist. let it be toys that my dad used to get me when i was small or let it be the bike tat i ride. I try to open things up and find out the real mechanism, their working and so on. I actually owe it to my dad since he has been a real grease monkey since his college days. I have seen him work on his Baja Chetak hat he had when i was a kid. That was the first bike i actually drove. I learned to drive bike at the age of 10. I was scared t drive my dad's Chetak. So i used to drive around in my uncle's Avanti. After that i used to drive my cousin's Splendor. Then one of my elder uncle's Yezdi...! Man that bike changed my complete outlook towards motorcycle.....!
The moment i drove the Yezdi i realized what real bikes are. then i realized the golden rule "the bike a man drives will completely describe his attitude". So was it. Then i built up enough courage to drive my dad's Chetak. Then my teenage came. i was fascinated to HeroHonda CBZ.. ! i still strongly believe that it was CBZ that changed the face of indian commuter bikes..! i used to stare at any CBZ that crosses my eyes. I had the luck of driving one when i was in 12th. thanks to Naraynan.. Dunno where the hell he is now.....!
College life was a major turning point for me. It was my college campus that introduced to what bikes are. i did my college in Kerala in Cochin. By that time i have built up fascination for pulsar and Thunderbird. But i knew for myself that Thunderbird was too much to ask for. So i settled for Pulsar. I loved the round headlamp, the meaty body, Petrol Tank and a commanding stance of the Pulsar. So i happened to drive in and around college in my friend's bike. I used to see lot of modification on many bikes..! The best was a bullet that belonged to one of my super senior named Vijay Abraham...!
The next major step was to find a job. I found a job and it was high time that i get myself a ride. I went in for Bajaj Pulsar [UG3]. Till now it has been my baby and it will remain so. The reason i joined this forum was due to my friend Niranjan..! He's an active member in the forum. Niranjan and me are classmates and we studied in the same school from 6th. I owe a lot of my passion towards motorcycle to him. I was studying in 11th[2001] at the time that he gave me a small hint about a powerful bike that Bajaj was gonna launch. He even told me that they are planning to name that bike Pulsar. i got fascinated with the name and bang there it was...! Bajaj launched the pulsar officially and it was in papers the next day.he has mentioned to me about this forum but i forgot the name. At that time i din t have Internet at home and i used to rely on Internet centers..! But after getting an Internet connection i found out the forum...!
Now I'm very happy to know about this forum and the best part i noticed about the forum is that whenever i post a query or a topics i get an immediate approval and response. It's like you're talking to couple of your friends in the street corner tea shop and they are giving you valuable inputs. i thank the founder and the moderator for making the forum such an interactive one..!
