  • It's just the beginning

    Hi folks,
I'm probably a late joiner in this community, though I'm following this a lil' while. Reading posts from other fellow riders (well, i am calling myself one...no proof though ) was really inspiring in the initial...slowly it urged me to get inside, to post my words...so here I'm...name, Subhadip...a bengali, working out of home state ...I live on a job in Chennai...kinda help a team making software & oversee it...my love on bike sort of grew on & over the time...I learnt riding pretty lately, back in the yr of 2002. So, it's just the start...I love touring, hiking & photography...so biking mixed well with these...with my salary the first bike I bought was HH Super Splendor 125cc quantum core. It was a lovely possession and I did almost 15K in 10 months...just not home-offc-home stuff, but pass-time riding, riding under rain...that's the time I came across the magz "Bike"...this influenced me in adding lil' riding awareness. I bought my gears one-by-one...a mesh jacket, a pair of gloves, a pair of knee guards & one helmet...looking back, I can see people in my office really made fun of it...a jacket isn't a city-riding gear for them...it's a sport stuff...i cudn't wipe their misconception completely...but i tried & i'm glad for that...back in 2007, again a rage came for the Bajaj, when P220 DTS FI was launched...i was gripped by the cowl & front fairing...and the sharp look...went & registered in probiking showroom, one day...I'm now a proud owner of a long-beach blue P220cc, which has aged 3+ years, and completed 40K...I learnt the joy of handling power & gripping it...I made mistakes and got punished for that as well...I guess 4 - 5 occurrence...then I felt the riding needs knowledge of engine RPM, throttle response, and body movements...now I am in the steady path of managing bike control in a better way...want to learn more from the famous xBhp community...so count me in...

Welcome Subhadip . You are at the right place to learn lot of things and as you've already had a few 'punishments' from your mistakes I guess you would have become a matured rider now. Just dont cae about the teasers, be sensible wear all the gears, Ride Safe and Happy Biking !
