  • Tail_Gunner sweeping you HELLO...

Most experts suggest that one should open with a joke. Obviously, they've never heard me tell a joke.
Hi I am Abhijeet Sawant(not the Indian Idol, of course ...). I stay at Bhandup, Mumbai. Yes.. Dont be confused you can find that on Google map..
I am not new to Xbhp. I have been a guest user for a lot of time and then also had a profile (Dont remember the password and username).
So, today I decided to create a new existence here and use some valuable time and resources (which are free for me) in my office to greet you people.

My love for bikes started when I was 2 years old and my uncle took me for a ride on his Splendour with me sitting on the bike's tank oouch!! it hurts(not kidding ... This is a tooth story told to me since my childhood). As I grew up my parents found more books and magazines of Cars & bikes, than my school books on my shelf (they didn't care much as far as it was just auto magazines )

After my school days I learnt to ride a bike on my uncle's TVS Victor, for the first time (ya.. The splendour was replaced by then). And now my parents started rebelling when I decided that I should have a bike.
Soon after my failure in engineering I didn't have much to do... So got a second hand Pulsar 150 dtsi(one of friends who used it rarely) just for "bike pe haath saaf karneka " purpose. had my first accident on the very third day of the ride. But gradually I learnt to ride a bike (without falling). Done a lot of trips after that bigger ones were 3 solo trips to Goa, and a dozen rides to a few well known places around Mumbai. Learnt a lot of new things. Met a lot of new people with same passion and craziness.
WINZEE was the first Xbhpian I met alongwith sandyCore biker on their trip to Goa. After that I came to know I met the most famous personality from Mumbai Xbhp. Xbhp taught me the rules and benefits of safety. I learnt to plan my rides taking care of all factors, also learnt to tweak (dont know if its the right word) a few screws & nuts.
And after 1 year 6 months and 17 days & 32561kms... i felt that I need some more power.
So bought a new Pulsar 220F this Dussehra. 2010kms so far... I am loving it

    So far,
I have done a top speed of 125kmph (on odo of Pulsar 150 dtsi).
Maximum kilometers in 24-hours is approx. 850kms (after which I fell out of exhaustion).
Done a Mumbai- Goa in almost 10hours only resulting into a fried Piston.
    etc.. etc..
BTW, Currently I am working with an NCR(bank atm manufacturing MNC) and sideways completing.. rather trying to complete my education(TY Bsc. Computer science)
I think thats enough for an intro.. "Bakika we will continue in next lecture"

P.S. - I am unable to load a profile picture. Mods please help. It always gives error "Upload of a file failed."

Welcome Abhijeet. Your trips seems interesting, why dont you give a nice long writeup?
I'm not sure by which method you tried to attach a photo but easiest is through an icon present near the 'smilies' icon. Looking forward to your writeups, cheers

Shelton, I think he means a profile pic, not an attachment to a post.

@gunner - are you sure you mean profile pic and not avatar? The avatar is what appears in your posts and the profile pic is what visitors to your profile see. The procedure for both is the same -- from your control panel

            Hope this helps
