seems like I joined Xbhp yesterday, but my account already calls me senior member! I have always wanted to write up an introduction but always put it off for later! Now, I finally have found the time to, and I will write a small biking auto-biography. :P
First about me : The name is Madhav Nayak. I live in Bangalore. I am an engineering student doing my third year. I am "healthy" by body and fun by nature. I am very passionate about biking and this isn't a passion I was born with. In fact, there was a point of time when I wasn't at all interested in biking. But, over time, I developed the passion!
My first memory related to bikes dates back 4 and a half years ago, when I had just finished my 10th board exams. I was out on a hang out with my friends when we all saw the then newly released CBZ Xtreme from hero honda. It had the first split grab rails I had seen. That is my oldest memory of biking.
How I learned to ride a bike? My elder cousin from my mom's side was attempting to learn to ride the bike on my uncle's splendor. I was standing nearby just listening to all the advice my uncle was giving to my brother who was on the bike. I absorbed all the "theory" like a sponge. I didn't get an opportunity to ride the bike for another year after that. I am secretly proud of the fact that today I am a biking enthusiast, while my cousin still can't ride a bike.

A year after all the advice I had absorbed, we were at my other elder cousin's house. Now, this cousin is a different story. He is from my father's side, and my father's side is a hard-core biking family. My dad himself was the proud owner of the yamaha rx 100 4s for a good 8 years. He did all sorts of things on the bike( though I've only heard stories) and this trait ran through the entire family. Coming back to the point : This cousin of mine had bought a pulasr 150 ug3. He had just given me the opportunity to ride the bike.
And I did. I attempted to ride it based on what I had grabbed from my uncle a year ago. And I have to say, I impressed myself. After this, the next time I rode a bike was after one more year. This time, it was the same splendor that cousin number one was learning on two years ago. I got the opportunity to ride it on the occasion of "Ayudh" pooja. This time, a petrol lock on the pipe spoiled what otherwise would have been a successful first ride.
A few months after this, on my birthday, my friend offered to me a ride on his new P220 as a birthday present!! And that, my friends was the first time I rode a bike properly! Two months after this, my first bike arrived : the Honda CB Twister. It was a 110cc bike, mainly meant for commuting to college and back. Shortly after the bike came home, I joined Xbhp. Though I had a bike, it remained a fact that I had ridden a P220 before that and no 110cc bike was going to satisfy me.
Though I have to say that the twister did perform well and did more than its share of a job. I have been on three long and good rides on the twister. I was pleased with the performance.

Come August 2012, dad starts complaining about the hectic bus rides to office. I jumped at the opportunity and played my cards right. September 2012 : TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS booked and delivered.
In the last two months I have had the best biking experience of my life. The apache performs with incredible precision and enthusiasm. I have done 2000kms on the bike. The mileage I piled includes 95% going to college, 5% on one long beautiful ride to a couple of dams near home. Thats me so far! If you read through all that I thank you for it!

. Have a happy and a safe riding forever.
