To get better response for your query, please post the thread in 'What Bike' section.
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

          Re: From ThunderBird to CBR250R

Depends on what you want from your bike. Personally I bought a duke 390. Another often of my who rode an Electra for over 40k bought a duke. Another fren with over 100 rides on a bullet is in the process of buying a 390. So I generally ask people who want to purchase a re to give it a miss. Currently the tbird 500 has a problem with the electrical and the harness costs 7 k to replace.

          P.s I did leh in 07 on a std 500.

Thanks Krishna .... I heard that the new thunderbird 500 which is of 2014 model is stable than the older model and they are less in maintenance.
Also i saw post where it says, since they are fuel injected, the bike is stable beyond 100 kmph.

            Thanks

It is stable above 100 for sure. I ride with a fren who has a tbird 500 and when we rode to chail on the Delhi Chandigarh highway we rode most of the distance over 100. A bitbof vibrations creep in but you can live with it.

Thanks for that . How is the maintenance on the TB500, few reviews tells me its very less compared to the old Cast Iron Engines of OLD bullets.
Also ... how is the Engine after riding for sometime on 100+ kmph. The bike is stable after that ?

Please let me know your thoughts.

                Thanks

I own a TBTS 500. Maintaince in term of major faliures is "0". but tits and bits are always there with a Re. e.g. Oil spils from places where you will be least expecting. You really need to have a love towards re for maintaining and riding it. Re is like a bike that can be passed on to generation

                    Re: From ThunderBird to CBR250R

Compared to the old iron engines the UCL engines are smooth. For eg with the old engines on a long ride you would carry a Lt of engine oil. New engines you don't have that problem. You can push the new engines for the whole day and they are fine. As for above 100 kmph speed they new tbird 500 can do it for as long as you desire. Provided you can manage the speed. Hopefully I have answered your query
