  • Hello Xbhpians, 15yr old rider here. :D

I was browsing this forum from about a month and developed interest in biking and all the related stuff. I used to ride a splendor plus but have just booked a FZS-Battle Green Limited Edition.
I ll be receiving the bike in a week and will put some images here too. Btw, I am Bhushan Bhati, Age -15.5 :P, from Delhi. I am a fun loving guy who just loves gadgets, bikes and yeah cars too.

Looking forward to do tours soon and meet some wonderful people here. My main target is Leh Ladakh, after reading several travelogues, i have the urge to experience it myself and will be doing it as soon as my 10th boards finish next year. So anyone from delhi wants to start planning and all, they can PM me.

And again, a big hello to everyone, i am guessing that i am the smallest(in age) rider here. :P

Intro Topic approved, to be Closed soon.

    Hi Bhushan,
Buddy, we at Xbhp, don't support breaking laws. Please understand that riding a geared motorcycle requires you to be atleast 18 years of age, and gearless scooters riders to be atleast 16 years of age, legally speaking. Unless you have a special license, riding a geared motorcycle at 15.5 years of age would be illegal.
I humbly suggest you to wait out for a few years, and then return to riding. Also avoid discussing that you're an under-age rider, on Xbhp.

A second strong message of Xbhp is advocating wearing properly fastened helmets & riding gears like shoes, riding jackets, gloves, etc. The ultimate aim is to have a community of strong and ethical bikers. Its necessary to stay on the right side of law for this.

Meanwhile, you can gain knowledge about 2 wheelers through Xbhp & other sources, and of course, I welcome you to Xbhp.

      Hi Bhushan,

First and foremost welcome to xBhp, please read the mods message throughly and absorb all of it. It's one thing to learn riding a bike at ur age and completely another to buy a new bike and plan a leh-Ladakh trip.

Please continue refering this forum, spend your time well here, learning all about the art of safe riding and refer to previous travelogues to see the challenges that others have faced in the past. Once you get your DL and have spent some time here learning other things about a motorcycles, venture out ride with the local xBhp chapter and then make plans/put up requests to share riding plans to Leh/Ladakh.

Be an example on the road not a liability

Wish you the very best for your future and all the best for your boards.

      Cheers
      Snehith

Thanks for the kind advice, i ll look for a special license(doubt if i can get one). I do have all the riding gear and have learnt a lot from you guys. This is really disaapointing for me, i should have seen it coming. Anyway, you are right at your place and i respect your opinion. Thanks.

            Dear Bhushan,

They way you responded to above reply s is commendable. It is painful to stay without riding after all this. And I am sure you cannot just keep looking at the new bike parked at home. While riding always keep in mind that you are on the wrong side of the law. This will keep you under control. It's great that you reached thus forum this early. By the time you reach 18 you will be a very mature rider and person compared to the rest of 18 guys out there.

Welcome to xBhp. Good luck for your future trips.

I see you understand my pain, and so do the other members. Almost spent my savings from the past 10 yrs on this beast, so its difficult to resist the temptation to ride this, so i ll just make sure i follow all the rules and will take it slow. With the support of this commumity, i am sure that i ll be a great rider by the time i reach 18. Thank ypu so much.

This community is great, hope to learn a lot from you guys in future.

Thanks sir, the thing with the username is that since i gave a sarcastic speech in school about nirmal baba, everyone started calling me baba, baba. So the username is derived from my nickname. :P

It does, and i might come into the scene a bit early, because i have confirmed that we can get a 2 wheeler license at the age of 17. So thats some good news.
