  • Hi Mates! I am Arvind 'Judge'

Hi everybody, this is Judge with warm wishes and lots to respect to every xBhpian who are rolling everywhere in different parts of this globe.

Well it is actually very nice feeling to be included in a pure-heart, soul-full and adrenaline-gushing BIKING COMMUNITY. I thank each and every one of you who take their time out and mention about their experiences or help fellow riders on their queries. It really takes something to do (like this constructive, development of a webpage especially for biking) or to help someone when they are confused or messed up. This address has been a soul saver for lots of people. Believe me on this one!

To begin with, My name is Arvind Dutt. I am currently staying in Delhi and sometimes in NCR region. I belong from Uttrakhand, Pauri Gharwal district (many of you might have not heard of it). This is technically my 2nd post on xBhp although it should have been the first one; since I didn't know how things work here I just went ahead posting on an already existing thread about my new purchase. So apologies for that =)

That said, I will let you know a little story of my love towards the 2 wheels. When I was only 5 years old I started watching MotoGP, I didn't knew what they were doing my mother use to make me stand/sit in front of TV set so that she can do her chores. So like an obedient son I use to sit in one place and use to change channels. It was this time when I actually first time heard a heavy engine revving on the race track, I gave me the goosebumps and I was quickly attracted to the speeds those monsters were zooming in and out from the race tracks. I knew at that point that when I grew up I will have one of such a beast parked in my garage.

So to imitate those racers, I use to put a balloon on the real wheel of my bicycle tire (it made a very strong sound!!) and then tuck in myself and pedal as fast as I can. I know this is absolutely funny but yea as a kid this was how excited i was whenever it came about the bikes.

My first vehicle was my Dad's used Bajaj Priya, 150cc 2 stroke parrot green scooter and yes it was much fun to ride it on the bumpy roads of Haldwani (Nanital) and Saharanpur. I was under age at that time so I always use to go with my elder cousin. It was my first teacher, I fell from it, I raced it, I did my wheelies <none of this was done on a road but on empty ground> but that machine was a tough cookie. It never broke..

Later in 2002 I got my first motorcycle, A Bajaj Pulsar 150 silver colored machine brought from Suman Autos in Noida. At that time I was living in Saharanpur and my Pulsar was among the very rare bikes in the city. I use to take it to tutions only at that time as I still didn't have any license. Although I wanted to go on long rides and race it but I never did. It was not till 2005 when I got my license made and the day it came in my hand, I started taking tours (intra-city and inter states). I use to go to hilly regions of Uttrakhand and ride my bike from morning till evening. All this was done only when I use to come back from holidays from my college.

After my bachelors was completed in 2009, my bike was sold as it got deteriorated (I was the only one who rode it and since I use to come back to my parent's place in months and the climate of Haridwar was very moist in rainy seasons, bike got rusted at various from points). I was very sad when I fared it goodbye. it was not until 3 years in 2012 when I got my next bike.

This time I was perusing my masters in Pune, and at this period since I was not working I didn't have enough money to buy a new motorcycle forget an import. So I opted for a used Hero Honda Karizma R. It was a black colored bike and served its purpose of frequent outing and highway rides. I went to quite a few places on it and it was fun to ride.

By 2013 I got a job in Delhi the work pressure and my future plans had taken a toll on me. I wanted to set myself free and go on a long ride. Deep inside my mind I still wanted to buy another bike. I had even zeroed a few (Ninja, Ducati, Triumph) but the problem was CONFUSION, what do I really need??. And as the time passed on, this craziness or should I say WANT was getting suppressed as there were certain things which needed to be taken care of. My plans of buying bike were getting delayed and pushed every month. There was a time when I actually thought that buying a bike would be impractical at my current age and I should opt for a Sedan or a SUV.

Between November 2014 to February 2015 I went to Kawasaki showroom at least 3 times, contacted Triumph, checked for Ducati and also went through all the options. Then on one fine day, I literally sat down with a piece of pen and paper, opened my laptop and then I started writing my requirements (I started using my office skills). With an analysis which lasted for 1 day, I narrowed my requirements. Which were
    1. Touring on weekends
    2. Commuting to office
    3. Should be comfortable (at least till the time I didn't get a car I will have to use my bike for visiting my parents who are in Dehradun)
This actually pointed towards Ninja 650, so then it was done. Ninja was coming. But I was not really happy with the attitude of few of the salesmen (there are few who are really nice to talk to and will help you at the best). There was no firm replies etc. Also there was an increase of 50,000 Rs in the price tag plus that beautiful looking saree guard and that absent grab rails were really nice thing . Again I was on the same road, Confused. Ninja was good but there were no color options and now whatever they were saying sounded bit too much for instance 2 years or 30,000 km warranty. This caused me to move away from Ninja.

Then It was on 10th March when I came to know about Benelli was coming to India this month only (earlier their schedule was very tentative and was getting delayed). So I started checking their range. I short listed TnT 302 because of various reasons.

This is the link to my post. Which I had accidentally posted earlier .

I know I must have written lots of content here. But I hope you guys like my post. Apologies in case there are any misses since I am new here and still learning.

Take care people and ride safe.

              Welcome to xBhp. Great intro.
It's not about how hard you get hit... It's about how hard you get hit and just keep moving forward.

Your story may not have such a happy beginning... But that doesn't make you who you are... It is the rest of your story... Who you chose to be.
