Welcome to xbhp!!! Hope to see more pictures...

You're in Osaka and don't have a motorcycle? Get an IDP from India the next time you're here, then go back and buy a second hand CB400 for around Rs. 80,000 or so. After getting a hang of riding a bike there(on an IDP) for a few months, get a Japanese chu-gata license and ride forever!

Buying a bigger motorcycle is useless in Japan because you have to go for a license swap (to oogata) and besides road restrictions on 'big' motorbikes in big cities, the speed limit in Japan is only 80-100 km/hr. No matter where you go.

All these R1's and Busa's are made in Japan with the intent of export to US and Europe. I hardly see any litre sportsbikes in Japan - mostly 250-600 cc naked's, cruisers and maxiscooters. And an occasional CB 1300/XJR 1300 and a few BMW's...

thanx for info.i have japanese Driving licence for car but not for motorbike.you know very well that in osaka area youngsters are very crazy so i don't wanna buy motorbike here.i wanted to bring japanese bike to india on my TR but found it's gonna be very expensive as japanese currency is very strong. 3years ago it was 2.9 but now almost 1.9 so even my friends in india who want japanese bike can't have benefit of my TR

I know, the exchange rates are killing - two years ago it was 34 rupees to 100 yen and now it is 54!!! It only works if you are working and using the bike in Japan... Otherwise the custom evaluation will kill if they start converting off the latest exchange rates.

Don't ride in Osaka - use it for trips to nearby Nagoya or even Hiroshima. The area around Hiroshima -Miyajima for example is extremely scenic.

Buddy, I wish I could join you but I am in Bangalore this year...not going to Japan! Enjoy the Tokyo motor show at Makuhari-messe - it is technically Chiba, but closer to Tokyo.
