  • Hi all

    Guys,

this is rajesh from Madurai (temple city, tamilnadu). i was a silent member in this community for the past 2 to 3 months and was observing the discussions about the best bikes in 150cc range, as i was thinking to get my new bike (first bike from my earnings ofcourse )
my height is 168 cm and weight 65, i thought 150 cc bike would fit well for me...
and ya, you guys helped me in selecting the best bike out of it...

    my constraints was:

    1. killer look (highest priority)
    2. average mileage (should give what it claims...i had seen few bike advertisements that they had claim 3 digit mileage...but i discussed with the owners of those bikes and you know wat, most of them are really disappointed with the mileage it gives than what it claims)
    3. Should be comfortable for daily commute around 100 kms
    4. cost around 70..but can go more if i impressed with the first option

as my first point says, obviously i selected fz series...
here comes the problem...it has three varients...should i go for a naked look bike or a faired one...finally concluded with fazer and booked the black beast a month back and got it last week...crossed 50km till now...next thursday registration, so will get into action once registration is done
expecting tips and suggestion from you guys to maintain it... caz i am newbie in bike maitenance....

Thanks guys...sure will post pics soon...

prateek2210: i tried fz-16 only once, that too while doing test drive...so i cant comment much about the differences between these two machines...one thing i noticed is the weight of fazer...ya it has an addon fairing which is just 4-5 additional kg, but it means a lot...i feel fazer is much bulky than fz (cant believe only 5 kg difference)...and parking is tough due to the fairings (again)...felt more engine heat in fazer while driving, but not in fz (may be showroom guys might maintain the testdrive machine well n good, where as my new machine is just a week old..not sure)...

            few problems i faced:

            1. Once the seat is unlocked, its very tough to lock it.
            2. rear mirrors are miles away from my hand...i need to bend a lot to adjust it while driving..
            3. Helmet lock is located under the seat which is un-comfortable for me..(need to unlock and lock the seat everytime)

dont know these are features or the loop-holes in the product..

HI there! welcome to Xbhp! and congrats on being the owner of a very sought after motorcycle in the country.

Rear views on fairings tend to feel like they are really far away and need a lot of adjustment to get them right. but trust me once you do, you wont be adjusting them again and again. I felt the same initial problem on the R15, but now have gotten used to em.
