  • Hey Guys...!!!

    Hi All,

Finally after years of visiting the forum as a guest I am now a member.

I am a senior member in Team BHP since 2005 and have been visiting xBHP too for my biking needs.

I work as a manager with an IT firm and my rides include :

    1. Maruti 800 MPFI (2003) - stock form.

    2. Maruti Esteem (2002) limited edition - K&N air filter + 4x1 header and free flow exhaust.

    3. Suzuki Fiero (2001) - stock.

Immaculately maintained and treated exceptionally well, each of the above vehicles have run sparingly. The esteem has run the most with 60k KMS to the odo and the fiero with 27k KMS to the odo (all genuine). How's I do it? Alternate the vehicles every day of the week and use the 800 on weekends.

Had a HH CD100 prior to the Fiero and a Kinetic Honda prior to that as well. Had fun in my younger days biking away to glory, some nasty falls but none too serious except one if I can call that. But thats another story for another time.

Glad to finally join as a member. What took me so long? well after i started working and made some money to buy a car, my butt got lazy... too lazy for the bike. Moreover I had shifted to different cities due to transfer in the job and left the bike back at home here in blore (that explains the low mileage). But i did ride it whenever I was in town on a holiday.

Now, I am in the market for a NINJA 250R. I initially wanted to pick up an used 400 or 600 in the same price range, but thanks to Manson, I decided on a NEW bike. No hassles with spares, service, abused or used bike, unclean papers, duty issues, etc.

I will be making a downpayment next week on the Ninja. Bad news... price is up by 6k due to the budget. But thats not gonna stop me.

Sorry for the long intro. Its nice to be here and I look forward to learning and sharing what I know. Will be interested to ride with fellow ninja owners from Blore once I get my bike.

Thanks to the mod's for approving my membership and to you all in advance for the warm welcome.

    Cheers.

      Hi Aditya! Welcome to xBhp

Perfect intro thread this. Congratulations on buying the Ninja, and I'm glad the 6k didn't deter you.

I have learnt a lot from you so far, and still am. Glad to have met you here.
I'm positive you are enjoying xBhp as much as Team-Bhp.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Thanks Aryan. Been 5 months since I've joined and i love every moment of it. I've always loved riding fast but was scared of high speeds and crashes (as my bikes were mere commuter oriented) and hence leaned over to cars. But all that has changed now. I barely use the esteem and i have never clocked so many miles in such a short time on a bike before i bought the ninja. She is 2 months old as of today and some 3500 kms already.

Thanks a ton Tibby. I'm glad that we met too. Its fun riding with you and chilling out when we aren't. Happy to know that my limited knowledge is making a small difference. Thanks.

I rarely log in or even visit t-bhp now, except for the motorcycles section.

Thanks Prince. I dont have a detailed review thread of my own. Didnt know i could create an exclusive thread for my ride. Saw many contributing to one ownership thread so my review and experiences are there although in bits and pieces. You can read my experiences on the ninja in a dedicated thread on team bhp in the motorcycles section. Pics of course are posted in my garage albums on both forums and on some posts in the ownership thread here.

You surely can, but its gotta be different.
Maybe something like combining ownership experience with a small tour, in the Tourer Section .

                    Dude! Read between the lines..
Its about moving from cars to bikes, not team-bhp to xBhp.
