  • Calling all biker chicks!

    Hello good people at Xbhp,
My name is Simi. I am new to XBHP. My husband introduced me to Xbhp a few months ago and I have been Hooked to this fabulous site. The tours and pictures that members post are very inspiring.
I love affair with bikes started about 16 when one of my friends borrowed her brothers bike and I got a chance to ride it. I know there are a lot of women who love bikes and dream of riding / owning a bike. I would like to get to know some of XBHP biker chicks.
I live in Calgary, Canada. I bought my first bike last year. Honda CBR 125 CC. For a little bike it is a ton of fun. Motorbikes are a seasonal thing here. Hardcore bikers probably squeeze 6 - 7 months of riding bikes. I find that it is finally warm enough in May to start riding my bike to work.
That was my introduction and now ladies its your turn now.
    Looking forward to it......

The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Simi, welcome to xBhp. Yes, you wouldn't find many active female members here. May be your post can call them out...

Now, please post trip logs of tours / rides from your part of the world.

@ Sunny & MODS: How about assigning a female moderator on xbhp. we will have something to start with then.

Parteek : I agree CBR could use a touch more power. I suffer from serious bike envy sometimes. I looked at Buell blast and Ninja 250 before I settled for CBR but Ninja looks a bit outdated and Buell has some not so favourable reviews about service and performance. There are not a lot of options for a starter bike as most are over 500 cc.

Hydbiker : I am hoping to see more female bikers on this forum soon too. I know a fair number of girlfreinds when I lived in India who liked riding bikes. They are probably on Fashion forums though . Its only a matter of time till they discover this fab place.

Pulsater : I hope to be a safe rider. Riding here has its own challanges as motorists are not used to sharing roads with bikers and also as it is quite seasonal atleast in this part of the world, so you need to almost re-acquire some skills each biking season.

For that we first need to have regular female members in the first place!
