^^ Which route are you guys taking?? The NH4 (till Nippani) and then right.... or direct NH17 from Panvel??

I suggest you take the former route.... coz its pretty safe at night times being a 4-lane road..... NH17 is pretty risky for night rides.

The plan is 24th night - 12am --which means - 12am on 25th midnight (morning) (Saturday)..... leaving.... and Sunday 26th morning start back right.

Goa ride....560 KMs...night ride....u guys are killing me...
always wanted to do that ever since I did it in car at night.
Don't have the cash for this ride o/w I'd be there.

BTW, you guys will be a lot more tired on sunday morning and day ride will just dehydrate you. I'll say ride back in night too. I know from my GanpatiPule rides.

Trust me, IMHO day rides are much more tiring and not as much fun as night rides.

Im ready to ride nywhere tht means nywhere. Jst frustrated because first it was a debate on Velneshwar or Harihareshwar the suddenly tht was cancelled. It was like ohhhh now suddely ive a free weekend + im not ridin .

Then tried to contact Anup to ask him wether I can ride with him to Badami. Was excited tgo 700 km ride . Then suddelnly thts cancelled n Goa crops out of nowhere . I would not be surprised if i see tomm tht we r ridin to Leh .

fcuK!..!..its like the dream number two on my list of dream rides!!(apparently i & anop had a much better plan for GOA)!!..there is bhaubeez on saturday, so mom out of the bluw announces a party fr her brothers, so i need to be there,coz i am her son, they are my mamas and i have a sister...obviously unless its an insanely important reason, who would wanna miss a ride yaar!! esp. me!

@aman..its 540 kms one way...its going to be longer than u can imagine...

at all the its-my-first-long-ride kinda guys, please carry glucon-d, atleast 2lits of water, you can mix orange glucon -d in bottle and keep it. take a butt break after 50kms and after 300kms odd stretch it to a 100kms break....

at night the speed is drastically slow even if you do a constant 80-90 or ocassional 10 kms in a stretch. coz of low visiblity. we covered shirdi (250kms one way) at night in 4-5hrs!!!we had started at around 1.30-2am, we reached there at around 7am. while coming we were quite exhausted and i did feel a little dehydrated(coz of the heat,no money to buy water etc.) by 1 pm the sun comes straight on yuor face, so make sure you stack up a lot of water right from 11am onwards. avoid eating roadside snacks as you can get acidity and might feel like throwing up during the day. I suggest try covering the maximum distanc at night as its extremely plaesant to ride at that time (personally)...the lead should atleast have a speed of 90-100...the riders should ideally have a distance enough for breaking to a complete stop from 100-0 without skidding....
