Had a great time meeting a lot of the fellow members and thanks for the cheer-up.
Things were not too good for me though.
During the race, I had an unsuspecting slow rider (somehow he took a good start and he was paper light) and kept blocking my way through C1. With another guy on my left blocking me to take the outer at CI, I settled 2nd at C2. Killer took a chance and passed me. At C3, I came out 3rd with this slow guy again blocking my pace. Since I was not wide-open at the right spots, vivek and rajkumar sneeked in. Took the guy ahead of me a little later. Was upping my pace to get to the 3rd place guy, when I was almost knocked off by Kalkat at C1 in the 2nd lap. I was doing 122 tops and flat out and got chipped there right after the MRF arch. Gained control and lost 20kmph pace in the race. Cant blame kalkat for it, coz these things will happen in a race, its just my lame luck. Realised that I cant do anything much after that that too in a 3 lap race. My race time was 2:23. I'm happy about the timing and working at entering into the sub 2:20 league. I know whats to be done, will get there for the next race for sure.

Sksy, bugger you were holding that 1 feet long lens and scaring me at a flatout C1. So bring them on...
Thanks to all those who were present on sunday, it was fun meeting all of you. Indeed it was a proper south-India G2G.

It was nice of Yamaha to have organized a race for their customers. People who never even thought of getting on the tracks would have got a chance to do it now.

But I also wonder if they had smoe kind of initiation session for the newbies since many of them didn't seem to have an idea of what they were doing (except for moving around in a track). I had seen people leaning the bike in wrongly and taking a fall, one person riding as if he was in a dirt track, some of them wearing just a sleeveless vest, some even wearing formals!! Thankfully there were atleast some knee and elbow protector provided to save them from some damage.

We guys from bangalore reached there early enough to catch the good riders goin on their practice laps (sadly that was the only time I got to see them ride as I missed the post lunch race due to misunderstanding of schedule).
