Hey man! we are planning something like this:
19th Jaipur-Jodhpur
20th Jodhour - Kumbhalgarh
21st Kumbhalgarh-Jaipur

You can meet us at Jodhpur on 20th..how many days are you planning for??

Just one small suggestion. I have recently travelled on Jodhpur - Kumbhalgarh road. This road is horrible. From Pali onwards, it took us 3 hours to cover 83 km distance.

Yes you are right, the road is in bad shape but there are diversions too available. Plus I love the twisties of Ranakpur, it has been ages since I have ridden there.

Thanks DJ bhai... Its my pride to moderate the site. I really wish there were more bikers I could be riding with in Ajmer. I ride very less nowadays, except for commuting.

Do let me know of any upcoming trips. I'm all set for it (unless something else happens meanwhile).

Sorry, was out of action for more than a week now, am back at Jaipur.

Deejay - I have to be here back at Jaipur on 21st, as there is a training which is happening by 10 in the morning.

Am ok to ride from 18th evening till 21st morning.

Ok to ride to any location during these 2 days.

Ohhh...Unfortunately I will be back in Jaipur by 18th only. So I guess we should stick to Jodhpur only then, leaving 19th morning and return by 20th evening.

Jeyesh - If you dont mind, you can travel till Beaver (275Kms from Bikaner)

We can also reach Beawer from Jaipur (Approx around 200kms) and catch up for a ride & reach Jodhpur

I recieved a call from RE, they were checking if i am participating in this ride.

will give my bike for a general check up at the RE service centre today by around 4pm

Guys...had a very bad experience with JMS & Co, had just asked them to check my bike on oil level, Neutral light / Low beam not working, tappet adjustment & nothing else. They claimed that they had changed the engine oil / gear box oil. total oil charges are Rs. 482/-. The after service effects
1. Engine heating up very badly
2. Heavy vibration
3. High beam not working
Nothing mentioned in the bill for gear box oil change, the service guy said its the same oil which we use for gear box (is that so??)
Have been always using 20/50 Shell oil and it was around 280 per litre. Gear box oil would be much more denser than the engine oil (they dint have any clue)
For just changing the oil & changing the neutral light they have charged a service charge of Rs. 450/-
This is excellent. Thank you RE for providing such a service

even i have to report to office on 21st..so we can meet up in beaver and ride towards jodhpur.That would be good.tell me what time you would be in beaver tomorrow so that i can plan accordingly..

Well this was bound to happen...a non hindi speaking South Indian with TN registered bike, you present yourself as an excellent customer to make money out of!!

Personally I think you were luck, we have even worse stories to share
How much and which oil is used for your bike, I pay 600 bucks every time for oil change (Motul 15W50 3000 4T Plus). I have also purchased the oil from outside, its even costlier there.
