No I'm not; I'm already at Jaisalmer & intent to ride from Jaisalmer to Jaipur tomorrow; any suggestion for the FAST route? Need not be scenic. I only want good roads.

You have two options to ride t Jaipur one via Nagaur another via Bikaner which is longer. Both routes have two lane roads without dividers.
But I suggest you take one via Nagaur as there would be less traffic and it is shorter too. I am getting the information here that the roads are in good condition but please ask the locals for the updated info.

Whoa!!! This is a news to me!!! Jaipur...I was under the impression that there should be quite a few members...10+ atleast!!!

I'm riding Jaisalmer-Bikaner, there's no second thoughts on it Ever since Bluevolt did that, I was itching to do it

So how would this be? Jaisalmer-Bikaner-Ratangarh-Jaipur. I know its about 100 Kms more, but still...once in a life time opportunity isn't it ? Tell me frankly, is Jaisalmer-Bikaner ride worth missing ?

Booked at RTDC Chennai itself, so no worries; never mind the price, its cheap; I intent to start by 5:00 AM from Jaisalmer & the ride should take about 12 hours I assume. So, if everything goes well by God's grace, I should be in Jaipur around 5:00 PM

12 hours no way!! it would take you much less then that..
I have done this stretch in 9 hours and that too leisurely.
You should be able to finish this in mush less time. anyways there is no hurry so take your sweet time..

I intent to stop quite often between Jaisalmer-Pokhran & Pokhran-Bikaner & take lot of pics especially during the Sunrise & I'm not planning to do a hurry up ride.

BTW, if we meet, I've got very very very very interesting story, turning point whatever you call today. What did I do today is absolutely mind blowing. You're not going to believe what I'll be saying too

Hmm...you're setting some expectation, though I don't come anywhere having any. I'd a gala time y'day, one of the most memorable day in my trip & I'm sure its going to stay a lifetime as well as help my friends who're making to Jaisalmer Like I keep saying, most of the things that happen in my life are unplanned; when I plan something, it almost never happens!!!

I'll PM you my number & we can converse directly, that way I can keep you posted when I reach. Hope you know where I stay.

Checked into hotel about 2:30 PM; you were right, it didn't take 12 hours. Started at 5:05 from Jaisalmer; Pokaran 6:00 AM; Bikaner 8:45 AM; Jaipur outskirts 1:15 PM.

But this city has set a clear expectation...horror !!! So far in my visit, this is the only city where I see a highly indisciplined traffic. I'm really sorry to say, but this is what I observed. People just jump here & there though there're wide good roads; the signal is completely invisible to most people; I saw a freaking incident where a M800 would've crashed to an Auto & both the parties went their way without a word

This is the first time I'm getting scared to ride!!! Too many incidents in the last 30 Kms ride from outskirts to inside the city; if I were to get out of this city safe with my ride, I need to offer prayers to God

yaa jaipur traffic is horrible now days..
and metro work is onn there thats why traffic is too much there..

i always try to go from bypass but i cudent stop myself going in jaipur city...

@ Ram & DJ: Guys, after much effort I'm finally close to getting a true biker in Ajmer Xbhp. This guy rides and stunts on P220 and FAZER.
He's been trying to get this stunt culture going and I somehow noticed him on FB.

Right now, I'm very busy in industrial training, so when I get the time, I'll meet him and see how well we group up. So, I'll keep you informed...
