Last november i saw a Porsche Cayenne running around Mar Ivanios area. But increasingly our roads are becoming infested with BMWs(regularly sees a X3 in the city) and Audis. Once spotted the monster Audi Q5....made me look like a kid on his tricycle(i was on my FZ)Originally posted by Nio View Posta 370Z here!! man Where are they hiding these machines.. a 370Z here!! man Where are they hiding these machines.. I have only spotted a porsche boxter till now
It actually belongs to my friend Nidhin..they imported it from dubai loooong time back and it was being used by his dad...and when we were doing high school and college we used to take it out for rides...Mannn its such a smooth ride...that time the kovalam bypass was under construction there was no tarmac...but it used to clock 125 with ease on those muddy roads...and we were too young to think of the consequences of riding without a helmet
It had twin cylinders fed by a single carb, self starter and twin exhaust pipes similar to those CD100 pipes..and trust me it used to give 35-40kmpl..
i was shocked when he told me he sold it off ..Grrrr
For those who dont know about CD200

he hehe yes it was true...We were flying like Humming birdsOriginally posted by lijok View Posthehe.... we were flying.... Heard of synchronous swimming? like that we were synchronous-riding.... I was just awesome man... My best riding companion is now Jayamohan chettan...

But there was some heavy traffic jam near Trichur and palagat NH47 at night
The combained roar of RTR and 220 even wake up the Bus passangers while we were overtaking
Lijo purposefully raised the RTR K&N sound to grab the attention of other bike riders on the NH47.....that part I enjoyed very much
Any way it was so tiresome and thrilling ride. Next time other can also join with us..especially the hot blood.. Akil muralidar
No offense!
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the seat.

i would have joined in had you informed me a week before. since lijo was also there i would have loved to come. atleast i wont get bored sitting all alone when you go for business purposes at coimbatore. i decided not to come owing to two reasons 1. i just got my bike after correcting an overheating problem.so it is a risk to take my bike for such a long ride before i can confirm that the problem is rectified.Originally posted by a.jayamohan View Posthe hehe yes it was true...We were flying like Humming birds

2. i wont be able to raise the cash required for the trip if i was not informed atleast a week earlier.
there is always a next time jayamohan bro.
sad news. during this weeks trip i wont be able to go above 110kmph as i just got my tappet clearance adjusted. on the return journey i wont have any restrictions. the valves would be set by then.also i am temporarily removing the air box cover and richening the mixture (to compensate the lean mixture)to get than lijo's k&n sound. lijo beware. now its my turn to grab the eyes.superbikes are the biggest blunders on indian roads.

I ll need your help...only yesterday i got to know that my friend is having one RD175 which is in a pityful condition. He is keeping it without selling it for quite some time hoping to find somebody who can restore it beautifully. That bike is hardly going beyond 60-70 kmphOriginally posted by Doctor Noel View PostSure man, will be uploading soon. Prem have one ton of the restoration pics of the RD175.....................

. I ll get him with the bike next time for the RD g2g. Hope he doesnt faint after seeing the other one
.
Think i also saw that today evening, a whiteQ5- AX 4500 i guess. Also saw a toyota celica with full sports decals all around it!! BMWs are in abundance nowadays here, quite bored of seeing thoseOriginally posted by Nixster View PostYeah thats the one
..
If you havent, just chk out the exotics and imports in kerala thread in team-bhp, u ll be amazed to see how much are there in this small state!!
@malcom..
yeah the bike was red...I think it beared the kollam reg. I hapened to see its owner, who was in his late 30s/ early 40s. When i asked him about it, he told he imported it in mid 80s from japan having all original parts.Last edited by VarunRTR; 02-22-2010, 11:11 PM.My New Blog : http://ridesaferidelong.blogspot.com/
