i was thinking of going to 'PONNUMTHURUTHU island' better known as The Golden island.....its not a long ride, just 55 to 60 Km from trivandrum.....its located near varkala......rather than taking NH 47, i wud prefer taking the long costal road along the beach which stretches up to our destination....its a coastal ride to Nedunganda village and from there we got to board a ferry to reach the island....if we take NH 47 to reach varkala, it would be like an usual ride amongst heavy traffic and that is the reason why i don't prefer it

There is also an old fort near it called ANCHUTHENGU fort which we can visit

as the ride is through coastal road crossing several villages, the ride got to be pleasant....the trip can't be stated as bikers paradise but still i hope it would be good...... anyone interested ???

i am going home(on my bike

) tomorrow early morning and will return on next thursday... on 27th trip i won't be able to come coz my friends are planning for a kodaikanal trip either by car or bike... so you guys rock...

coastal road??!!i ve heard about that but havent gone . This place looks fantabulous .We should go there once....near to that place are some other places too like paravoor,edava,etc..

noel chettan told me about a restored bike, some 1980model...its a RD175!

i havent even heard about such a bike...8bhp 3gears etc..its his friends bike...

This is the bike noel was referring to--"RD175" not RD135. I also had a chance to see it in the flesh. Gotta tell ya....its a beauty!! According to noel,this thing can still give a bunch of today's bikes a run for its money
