ohh !!! so i ll have to spend 1000Rs hereon for routine maintanance !!!! all the SVC services ended with my bike turning two last week. Unfortunately i forgot to celebrate it !

belated happy birthday wishes to your rtr...wishing many more miles of happy and safe riding ahead...

and of course i remember Nio's words that day.."I m now a 'pauper' after the engine works....also there is one left , of our great Kannapi !!!!! was on march 27th !!! .
And Ganesh(sgrrocks) is having his bday on 30th april !! . Sad tht he is not so active with biking nowadays , Its raining birthdays in our gang this april !!

yeah hopes the g2g will happen this time if rain gods doesn't intrude..

@lijo: ya like binoy said I were thinking of motul but would prefer something in range 15(+ or =)w40 FS since there is a general case of leak from oil seals of previous models like mine. So as per binoys suggestion thinking to try semi first

guys i need some help. i got placement in a merchant navy company. but all said the job is very challenging and tough. six months on sea and six months at home. the salary is outstanding. starting salary itself is 1500dollars per month with free food and accomadation.but my mom and dad does not want me to go(somali pirates) so i have to make a tough decision and am pretty confused. i need to know if any of you guys have any friends or relatives working in merchant navy and if they are at home now please give their contact no. i am trying to get as much feedback from as much people in this field.

I am dreaming a life like that man....you get 1500$ a month for 6 months in sea , of which not a penny will be used. sit home for 6 months and still you get the same !!!!! first i ll straightaway buy a mustang GT500 and an R6 and about the fuel for that !!??! hmmm....may smuggle from gulf.. LOL !!

you wont be paid when you are on land. several guys have come back from merchant navy due to the nature of the job. every year the company comes to barton hill for placement.when you become a chief engineer you will be paid 15000 dollars per month.how can i contact goati. is he an active xbhp member? i also have to first undergo a one year training and sign a bond with the company and work for them.

Formula one is the best bet... i bought it for 200Rs/- from Big Bazar...

Formula1 wax is the best choose...I am using that for the past 3years. But make sure that it is orginal. check it is made from USA (behind that pack)...You can get it from Motor plaza sreekariyam for Rs 250/-.

@Binoy: contact pogumoodu oil shop(nr petrol pump). I hve seen 20W40 grade Motul there. but not sure it is fully synth

Sure i will check it...

Motul 300V fully synth is available in both 5W40 and 10W40. I got two 1lt bottles of 5W40 from AQ.

i got Formula1 from Car palace, Kesavdaspuram, they charged me 270rs,
i knew that the price was a bit high when i saw the same thing in bigbazar for around 220. dont know whether the one in BB is original or not..

Formula one is the best bet... i bought it for 200Rs/- from Big Bazar...

Congrats on your selection buddy. Its quite an achievement. Deciding if you want to go for it or not is completely upto. Personally I feel that parents should not stop a child from pursuing a career of their choice. Now, assuming that much, you should decide if you want to go for it or not based on your preferences. You should weight the benefits and disadvantages and choose one. Once you decide you should stick to it. I'm sure if you get to talk to some one already in this job, you'd love it. i have almost made up my mind to go.the only question before me was the job security. what about IT field then? how many are working in this feild?lots. firstly i first have to clear the two back papers and wait for the results. once i get the results i will call and inform them. then they will allot me to any of the three training batches(september batch,february batch or may(2011) batch). i wont be able to go for the september batch because the results of the supplies may not be out. if every thing goes well i will be employed. but there is no gaurantee that i will get this job as lot of other factors also come into picture. if every thing falls in place the job is sealed. every one please pray for me.ok.

hey akhil....congrats on getting the job...i thing you must give it a try..opportunities don't come every day...one of ma friend( poor guy who passed all the hurdles in the navy ssb and was disqualified after second round of medical fitness) at sct too got this same job...but he told me that he is not intending to go and is there any fees which you must remit for the training...? heard something like that...
