Guys, 13 big and 30 small(just xbhp.com) stickers are coming my way. We need to share this with our cochin friends. I've already received inputs from few. Please do tell me your requirement. As the first preference goes to the Yercaud riders (including cochin riders) you may need to wait till the ride is over before I can confirm if we have big ones to spare... just saying things upfront...

          • Can somebody give me a gmaps link showing ex-jawan oil shop? Also, I might be selling my can of Motul 300V 5W40 fully synthetic oil. Highest bidder wins. Base price Rs.600. If there are no takers in the next couple of days, I'll use it myself. As to why I am selling it, Joseph, our trusted mechanic expressed his opinion that Valvoline semi-syth is good enough for the RTRs...
@Varun, I saw you bike there... the M45 looks good.

I'll be doing front fork oil replacement, oil and filter change, K&N reinstallation, chain & sprocket change etc at Joseph's this week or next... .

Thanks...after lots of ordeal, i managed to get the tyre but unfortunately i didnt ride enough to test it. When i called joseph in the evening to ask him if i can take my bike back, he told that another guy from your "team" with grey RTR came for a full service !! dude why dot you try this oil for the yercaud ride for a change? BTw, why the chain sprocket should be changed now itself?? how much have you clockeD?

And the ex jawan shop...You wont find it easily if you look for ex jawan, look out for Margin Free Lube Shop at kilipalam en route aryasala. There is a Bridgestone tyer shop after this. You can easily find it.
And lijo...the sticker , upload a pic of that...i changed my visor, so i need a sticker to keep up my identity .

quote - dude why dot you try this oil for the yercaud ride for a change? - thats the idea of changing the oil to Valvoline and selling my Motul.
Changing the chain and sprocket as Josephji said there are possibilities of running into chain slack on such a long ride, and there is no more space to adjust... The sticker is on its way only.. once I get them, I'll post photos... :P

hope you are planing to use the valvoline shockab oil as recommended by joseph..i am using it since replacing my fork bottom tube and it is giving good performance..
and about the direction to x jawan oil shop...after taking right at the flyover above new theatre continue along the main road...after the next left turn there is a hp petrol station..go forward a 50m and you can see margin free lube shop( ex jawan) to your right..ie opposite the petrol station..
                  hope its clear..

Well go towards Killipaalam, take the signal & turn right & keep towards Chala; on to your left you'll see the Ex Jawan oil shop. This is even before turning towards the bridge (and Silversand hotel) OR entering straight into the market (the red circled place on the map).

Hey, you basically from trivandrum ????

                              @ lijo
I took the bike back from Joseph today evening and its feeling awesome. He said This was the first time the chain was cleaned...the SVC had never touched it till now . The M45 is really worth the money i think..though i couldnt check thoroughly ,bike was planted on the road even in wet conditions. Should leave to ponmudi once more to see its worth.

                              @ sudeep
Good news for you man, Joseph also takes bullets as he had worked with aparna motors(enfield) at karamana for a couple of years when it started. So try giving it to him once.

btw...joseph himslef told me he wasn't quite good with bullets as its engine and parts were all different from a conventional bike's engine....i asked him about taking jeff's bullet there and he wasn't so sure and told me himself to take it to some expert for bullets...
