  • @NV: I saw u on leaning on our last ride in Lonavla, ur jst too cool. I think we should have a G2G dedicated to learnin the proper technique of Leanin on bends and knwin the limitation of our machines. The is a pack of ppl in the group who are clear with the fundamentals and the other try to imitate wht these guys are doin. Jst like in Lonavla shiva was tryin to follow ur line.......... (Jst he forgot tht u didnt have a pillion & he had one.)

We need to give a thought to this, wht say......

Man dats a great idea, But hey man, Shiva is an awesome leaner cum Rider, its just ke he forgot he had a Pillion... n I never saw him following anyone's lining, he always makes his own, the safer n perfect ones. In lavasa, I can say it was a Human error, though a big one, but alls well dat ends well. He must have learned sumthing from it fer good n better.

I am no Valentino Rossi but I can surely help with whatever I know. But what you are saying makes sense...a G2G dedicated to the best rider practices . Maybe on one of the coming meets, we can discuss on this.

P.S:Sorry for the poor quality but had the reduce the resolution for my superfast connection.
These are public roads. If u think u guys are good riders, the least u can do is stick to your own side of the road. Or go to the track and lean and bend all day u want. Not being near a track is NOT an excuse for doing it in public roads. This is nothing but blatant disregard for traffic rules. This is one of the reasons media and the public in general talk about bikers in a derogatory manner.

If I were a mod, I would take these pictures off the forum immediately. But then, I am not a mod.

          • @Cosgeo-Very good thought.

I believe Lavasa will be quite risky for such stuff.I have been to Bhandardara and the ghat section isjust ideal for doing this kind of session. The corners are floating and not blind and too add there is hardly any traffic on that route.

            • @niranjan- I am glad if that was the case. Btw were you on the silver or red 220 when i spotted you on one of my last trips to Lavasa. This was on the patch of road between the Lavasa entrance and the chai tapri.

@spiderweb- I ride to Lavasa every other weekend. So I know exactly what you are talking about Thats why before my practice runs I always take my first ride slowly and stop and clear the road wherever I spot any gravel or stones. Only after this ordeal can I truly concentrate on my leaning. You can try the same on your next trip.

              • @prajwal-What you mentioned is absolutely true and NV already had given answer for same.To add I will say that every one was rising sanely and following all the traffic rules. We just had a small session at this turn for 15-20mins with 10 guys manning looking for any kind of traffic from either side of the road.

                @sagar-Niranjan was on a Red 220.

Then perhaps u can take these pictures to the nearest police station and see if they accept ur "explanations". Or perhaps we can put these up on Times of India and caption it "What decent bikers! They made sure there was no traffic on the road before doing this. So its ok if everyone else also did it."

Traffic or no traffic, u just CANT break rules. Period. Selectively breaking rules has become every Indian's birthright i suppose!

I definitely expected better than this from you (and being a mod). Or perhaps I expected too much from the xBHP mods.

                      • I agree with Prajwal.Even if there were "10 people" signalling you all about the oncoming traffic and you guys were praticing cornering , it should "always" be the correct line and the correct lane.

So you ride at a maximum speed of 50 on highways.Yes that's the speed limit for a bike on highways and at places it is 30.

I'm not trying to prove or defend but the way you pulled police and media in the picture is totally uncalled for.You should see the so called public riding/driving on that road. All were going crazy and for them "rule" is just another word. And you talking about police and media. They are the one who break most of the rules. No one is politically correct, not even you.

If you had pointed a figure towards me with someone riding without helmet or without riding gear in case of cornering or breaking signals I would have accepted it as my fault.

                              • @niks-Its very easy to point a finger without knowing the full story.Except Inder all were slowing down at that corner. And its incorrect to term it as practise session as we had all stopped at that point for a break and few people(4 of them were taking a spin or two).
