Mumbai update: most have reached home... some are busy partying with the "Dhoom Bike hero" of the day.

We had a Dhoom Bike Hero with us today, and had tough time managing young kids and teen girls form keeping thier hands off him!
And OH! It wasnt our local pos(t)er boy aka world-famous-in-mumbai-rockstar MotorBreath!

Oh and NO ACCIDENTS This time, except for a couple of small fall!

                        Trip Writeup

At 62 Kmph, I was wondering whether we would make it on time for the 7 AM rendezvous. I gestured to Inder to open the throttle but we still cruised at 70 at max. Anticipating a flurry of brickbats, I trailed my wingman
This scene was set early in the morning with Inder riding my old (and borrowed for a day) P150 Classic and me in a reverse echelon sweep on my Predator. Finally, we reach the Pune-Mumbai highway and the toll booth on Dehu road. The welcoming party consisted of Ritwik, Naren, Sagar, Alok, Rohit and Nitro. We learn that Nandan and Nakul are on the way and are expected in 10 mins. The usual chit-chat and leg pulling activities that engaged us for the next 10 minutes. By that time Nandan and Nakul arrive on their RTRs. We start off this 10 member convoy and man what a scene. All in formation, riding properly. The task to lead the convoy was with Ritwik as me and sagar kept Inder some company at the tail.
One of the most memorable parts of the ride was when all the bikes were passing the slow moving traffic. The induction roar of all these machines especially the 200 and the 220s was intoxicating and Alok made sure that the entire traffic heard that sound for a kilometer at least. The ride to Lonavala was top notch clinical and no issues reported. Once at Lonavala, we headed for RKs. After parking our bikes, we met up with Chetan and others. While having our breakfast, we were informed that Calvin, Marcus and a few others were already up at Amby and waiting for us. After a nice breakfast at RKs, we started our ride to Amby.
We usually decide the formation and this time too, it was not different. We let Nandan, Nakul, Ritwik, Alok and Naren lead in that order and others in mid pack, with Inder, Sagar, Me and Chetan in that order, on the tail.
The lead pack was deliberately selected as these were participants who wanted to ride fast. The twisties to Lonavala are awesome and it requires a very nice line all through the corners. Most of the corners are clean and with ample visibility of the oncoming traffic. While riding on Amby roads, I was drawing comparisons with Lavassa and found a lot of similarities. For instance, the roads are very well laid in both the cases, have proper markings, the road surface provides ample traction and most importantly there is no run-off area in both the cases if you mess up with your entry line or speed. The difference is mostly the nature of bends; on Lavassa twisties, its more of a technical ride with flowing and tight corners, more emphasis on entry lines and speeds and a proper technique. At Amby, most of the corners except the hairpins are flowing and one needs to concentrate fully on ensuring that your lines are proper. For me, both the places are special and I simply enjoy riding on both of them.
Back with the ride, we (me and Chetan) were trailing Sagar and Inder and I was really tempted to open the throttle and ride faster. But as they say "Never leave formation", I kept my position. We reached the top and the usual "Hi buddy" conversations filled up the area.
We had a full stunt team in Anirudh and Calvin, who put up a spectacular wheelie and stoppie spectacle. It was really amazing to see both of them and their talents. Nice work there both of you.
After a lot of chit chat and rides on Sumit's FZ we finally started back for Lonavala. As usual, the faster riders who wanted to be faster started riding and we started in packs. I was in a pack with Alok, Sumit, Naren and Shiva with Cos as his pillion. Since I was no longer trailing in a position, we started a brisk ride back. I had fun while riding with Sumit, Shiva, Alok and Naren.
We stopped at a point where there were a lot of boys and beautiful girls When we reached this point, the earlier pack that had left off was already there and we found Anirudh popping wheelies and stoppies; full entertainment for all the people there. Later, Calvin also joined him. Both were instant celebrities as the entire crowd consisting of boys, girls, uncles, aunties, camels, insects, birds and the bees were applauding these stunts. I have a hunch that these stunts were only for the fairer sex
A minor incident where one of the riders in the bunch had a parking speed fall as the wheel slipped on the gravel. Apart from that, no other incidents.
We left the point and had fun in the twisties. We reached RKs for lunch. RKs is a happening place on weekends and holidays. Especially eye candies of the sort that most were looking for A fillin lunch and we were all set to ride back. A small session (Cos will explain that later...for the sake of preserving his surprise, I am not mentioning it here) of interaction and we started off for Pune.
The ride back to Pune was as usual, clinical. I was on the tail and others in the front. Reached Pune at 2:30 PM.
All in all, FUN. The following people ensured that this ride was smooth and without any problems
Ritwik, Inder, Nandan, Nakul, Alok, Nitro, Rohit, Sagar, Naren, Chetan, Sumit, Marcus, Calvin, Shiva, Cosgeo, MotoB, Saif, Sunny, Anirudh, Satyen, Spidey, Aman, Rossi and of course Me.

This was the trip writeup from my side.

@all participants: please let me know if I missed someone in the list and write in your logs as well.
Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

The ride was superb! Btw my friends on a P150 were Rohit and his bro Lalit.

While returning to Pune it was crazy! 120-130 kmph speeds were normal!

And there is one small problem. My bike's decibel killer fell off!
Now the Bajaj guy told me that there are no new decibel killers available and i will get one when any bike is reported for crash or such! Ritwick! If u r changing your exhaust plz do help me!
