you were really fast at corners on 220. I was bit scared doing that. Augmenting the fear was the oncoming traffic.

It will take some time for me to catch up. I need practice. Will go alone to lavasa ghats... in early morning to do that.

Here is a small trip log from my side. (Mumbai Log.....)

Itz was jst 3 days before the accident at Lonavla and to my surprise Inder had started a new thread for the Christmas G2G. I was supposed to wind up with my exams on 24th so it was no probs to ride towards lonavla for sunrise at lions point. It sounded cool but there were two things missing I had no bike and the most important thing was no cam. Found some courage in the cupboard and wardrobe and decided itz time to buy a new cam. After exams rushed straight to the nearest Croma outlet and picked up Sony DSC H50 (I had reviewed it earlier).

So one missin thing was present now and for the other the altervitive was to pigyback. To my surprise Satyen volunteer for the task. We decided to meet up at 3.30., so there was no question of sleeping. The whole night i ficked through the DSC's manual. Reached Kashimira at 3.15 & to my surprise Moto was already there, He too was not able to sleep whole night. Grouped up with Satyen, Winzee (yaa he too came), Spider & Saif (I was rally very happy seeing a unicorn). Had to reach Kalamboli McD by 4.30 but as usual we reached there 1/2 hr late and then only person there was Shiva. Calvin had a overslept a bit and Marcus failed to wake him up. We started from McD and 5.15 and the nxt stop was 1/2 km away near Panvel bus stop. Everyone was hungry and wanted to stuff somethin before sunrise. Finally we started rollin from panvel. I was pillion on the Avenger now and Calvin was riddin it. The Avenger is an awesome bike, dont knw bout the rider but itz very comfy for the pillion . Marcus was riddin the R15, he loves it by hear n soul. All vrooom vrooom ridered like Shiva & Spidy zoomed ahead of us till finally we lazy asses couldn't see them.

Near Express highway entry unfortunately satyens tyre got puntured. So it was now clear tht we would not be able to make it to Lions point for sunrise. Slowly slowly with the deflated tyre we headed towards Lonalva, with a hope tht we could find a mech in wee hours of the mornin. We found one near RK's. Meanwhile the tyre was gettin ptched up, I removed my new Sony from the bubble bag and clicked some pics. The other half of the Mumbai group was waitin at Lions point & enjoyin the Sunrise. The FZ16 & thee 220 zoomed past us, we tried to call them but even if the Yam is silent the Pulsar is yet noisy. The tyre got fixed, good to go again. I was again on the Avenger but this time Marcus was riddin it. I tried a stunt again, got on the bike and started clickin snaps with the H50 (I promise this is the last time im doin such a stupid thing). Reached lions point, Anirudh & Calvin put up a small stuntin show for us wannabies . We decided to moved towards Amby Valley instead of waitin at lions point from the pune guys. Yaaa forgot to tell u, the Pune guys were finally late........

Everythin was the same, Marcus was riddin the Avenger and i was a pillion but this tim I was sittin ulta for better pics. It was roller coster ride but loved it (Marcus one more time ). Reached amby and Anirudh and Clvin started again woth the stuntin session. Took some tips from Satyen bout usin a SLR. In an hour I guess NV along with other Pune guys reached amby.

Haaa bhai log! Back from Nashik in 2 and a half. Kal Amby se direct Nashik badhiya ride thi...kuch der ke liye bike chalate chalate so gaya...but I had a mug full of coffee at "Tarangan"...a dome shaped restaurant after the ST restaurant Jai Gurudev. that got my "head" lights shining more brightly than twin HIDs. But the night riding at 90-100 kmph is very difficult with no side railing markers, no streetlamps and no divider markings especially past Igatpuri even with the (I guess) six lane highway. With limitless HBBs (High Beam Bastards) coming at you from the front your eyes would be constantly pulling the O.O smiley. By the way, I urge you fellow riders to smoke all the useless Indica, Alto, Travis, Tata Sumo, Scorpio, Endeavour, Maruti SX4, Indigo, Zen, 800, Omni etc etc driving rear-end-holes as much as you can to pop their ego bubbles when they try to cut you. It's a great feeling to see the discontent on their faces when you slip though the traffic on the highway and they are stuck behind a Volvo eating dust, smoke and cow-dung. Useless fellows really. Pissed me off while coming today when most of these guys tried to push me off the Tarmac onto the gravel and sand. So I gave them something to think about!!! This is after Calvin assured me that there's more in the Avenger than meets the eye.

EDIT : I forgot I was wearing the Alien Spine over the jacket. That must've hurt them a LOT methinks.

Baki kya ho raha hai sabke saath?!! Calvin aur Anirudh ne chance miss kar diya ye to sahi hai...lekin isse dono ka bhala hua...agar koi ladki inhe "unkill" kehke pukarti to izzat ka phaluda ho jata. :-O Jo hota hai bhale ke liye hota hai!!! (Anirudh knows better) o.O >.< O.o

Cos thanks for the credit man! Was trying my level best not to flip you off the bike when you were reverse...the only thing missing were noodles (with chopsticks) and cola in your hand instead of the cam! Would've been a Kodak moment for sure! And special thanks for praising my bike too! (You are off my list now along with Calvin)

Man you rode awesome! I mean I had a hard time adjusting to the RTR after my avenger, but you rode like a pro with the R15, took the corners well, I could constantly see you in the RVM and I dont know if you realize or not, YOU WERE doing 90+ !

Thanks for the acknowledgment! I did not realize that! Apart from some goof offs - "Dude where are the brakes and the gear lever?!!" (Calvin and me both had that problem)...I also forgot the R15 had a six speed gear box quite a few times! Man that is embarassing! I was trying hard to keep the RTR's taillights in view all the time. And I thought Calvin was left behind or something one or twice...

BTW that little amount of Smirnoff is still with me...emergency purposes only! :wink:

@Marcus thats one reason I was riding with you, and slowly speeding up so that you also keep up the beat without looking at the speedo you were at Nineties a lot of times... I was enjoying the pillionless riding in night, and probably its the habit of night riding thats been in my favour

Then came the ghats and it seems like I just lost all my skill with the bike... then realized the billion dollar 'issue' (will update all this in my trip log)

No no before Khopoli!!!

On expressway and Khopoli ghats I was riding with a flat, and Marcus was covering me! So no options to speed... we were pretty much at 50s and max 60s there...
