Sirjee I mite be less experienced than you in terms of riding overall kms. Just coz i never had a bike before, but trust you me, I have ridden on hills and ghats much more than you and know how to tackle it. For the record, I did not have even one close shave during that whole ride, and never have had an accident in my 8000+ kms of touring, TOUCHE
As for your riding skills, I never doubted them, I know you have excellent control over the bike, but just when riding around blind turns and overtaking in hills, you need to account for morons with 4 wheels who dont look out for the bikers. This was the only department where I think you were lacking,(not just my opinion, but you may ask around with others on the trip) which would come with experience..

i really like your confidence. but again why is it sounding like over confidence to me. i have toured around not too much but it would be around 60000 KMs, out of which a lot goes to the bike, and the comuting part is not even touched yet, which has been going on since 1995 starting from my Hero Puch. its always good to keep your self and others safe while on road. and specially when its hill or ghats. its not always you who would be the reason for that one moment that you may or your loved ones may regret all your life. rip and ride hard but make sure you are not a reason of some one elses missery.

here at this brotherhood no one doubts no ones skill its just that ones skill should not be coming in the way or blocking some one elses path or creating a hazard for any one.....

Damn I hate working ....that too on Sundays..... I have to be in office at around 10, so wont be able to come in for tomorrows ride damn ...and also wanetd to meet Olias too before he leaves.....but pssttt *&^*&^ &*^$%$# &^%*^ .... Lets see I am trying to delay it a bit tomorrow so that atleast I can meet with you all at dhaba...so les slee I will try my best..... keeping my fingers crossed.

It is basically just confidence on my riding skills, not over confidence. In fact, to be honest when I am ripping in the hills I make it a point to say out loud to myself within my lid to thank God for keeping me safe and to ride sane. It might sound funny, but I do that to keep myself in check n not go overboard.
As for the earlier post, it was only meant to be as a reply to LP's comments on my riding, which without twisting words, I don't appreciate too much. As for the riding experience, sirjee I am still a newbie. Got my bike exactly 1 year back (19th Mar 08), and that was my first time on a motorized 2 wheeler. Done 17k in a year since, including half of it being touring, owing to the fact I was in pune till a couple of months back. Obviously cant be putting myself in the same sentence as the seniors here, but for myself I believe I ride decent enough and keep note of others on the road too. Thats all I commented for, that following LP for when I was, he needs to tone down a bit. But then again, probably it happens to all. I also had a slip on pebbles on my first ride(to Amby Valley), adrenaline does that to you. Been careful ever since.
