  • Good I am happy to see Prakhar, Prateek Harmeet, Aman responding positively on this issue. So where are others who generally come on Sunday morning meets, the reason for posting this topic in our meet thread is to gather all people who have problems so that atleast we know what the problem is and hence we will be able to work on it. The work for solution would not be only my responsibility and headache, it will be worked out through all the members here. The meet happens because the members turn in. Now if they have a problem then it needs to be spoken out and then help us all to resolve it. so more the members the better it is. Lets all work together and see that the bad phase of our Delhi Chapter is history in the coming days.

Nayan you are most welcome to our meets.

    • I'm in, I'll be there on sunday to have a discussion on the matter.. But I really don't like way things go on here on the thread.. People going against each other and having grudes for each other.
Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead.

It sure takes some commitment and a sense of responsibility to come up with an initiative as Shivanshu has done. This is laudable.

And as he rightly says, the most he can do is to initiate a movement to get things back to what they have been. Beyond the 'initiation', it is entirely up to the xbhpians to get things rolling and to keep them rolling. Of late, there has been a very visible fragmentation of members in Delhi. Of the many reasons responsible for this, a lack of any clear agenda for each meet stands out as one. And that can easily be remedied.

I admit that there has been a dearth of participation of members who have been around since long with xbhp. In particular three of us (Sunny, SunilG and myself) have not been able to keep up with the demands of time, what with the workload of the magazine, the numerous rides and the loads of other publication/promotion related work that eats into our days. Lacking a strong corporate back-up, we are managing with a really tiny core team and so numbers get substituted with hours.

But then as motorcycling is a common shared passion, the physical presence or absence of a tiny handful should not be such an overpowering deterrent for getting together. Do get together and sort out whatever differences of opinion that prevail at present. And brain storm over ideas for joint activities/agendas that bring meaning and utility to the get-togethers.

At my end, I assure you of all co-operation and I am willing to share anything of value to motorcycling that I can with you. I am also planning a G2G at the xBhp office in Chiragh Delhi, its date being dependent upon when the entire lot of us can be together in town. I think this will happen when Sunny is back from Chris' India tour.

Looking forward to positive participation and even more positive inputs/suggestions from you all towards reviving the G2G scene in Delhi.

Harmeet good suggestion, but I would like to first like to see this matter of personal fractions settle down and then we may look for rides and group rides. Come over for this meet at dhaba, and if all goes well then yes we will ride together for sure.

Hence, for 3rd April, lets meet at dhaba at 0730hrs and then sit together and get to know what the problem is. What say??? Only selected few members have problem is it.... where are others who come regularly to the meets.... cmon friends

                    • @Shivanshu Daa
When i joined xbhp it was quiet a fun.Lots of members used to come like dipankar daa.But from last few months all fun has gone. Our fellow bikers stop coming to dhabha and that's why no ride are getting planned. If any rides are getting planned i.e., its only for few bikers. And groupism is also getting into nerves. And moreover our senior member also don't come.Only few seniors come to dhabha. We have to do something da.

I am in for this sunday.

                      • arre shivanshu bhaiya , only few members have a problem. so , my suggestion is that before hand u me n others must write it down or get into our heads about what points should we discuss. i don't want thatwe sit and we don't know where to start from.
the next thing. As old fox sir said, physical presence of a mod, senior members hardly matters. let us,the members coming every sunday take the initiative of bringing back the fun and that charm that pull people out of there homes on lazy sunday mornings
NOT only problems but also the ways on how making things super fun for xbhpians!

AT EVERYONE : whomsoever is reading these posts , please please reply. it gives us the motivation to get things back and also people reading these posts, please tell every xbhp member in your knowledge about the coming g2g !

@shivanshu bhaiya, old fox sir , harmeet bhaiya n others: confused, how to pull in people for this g2g ?

                        Comment

                        • @ Aman:- No need to pull anyone for this G2G. If they really care, then they will come. (Obviously not counting Office goers )

And I will be there. Was able to push things back at home for a week and now i wish that this G2G is fruitful.

And about starting the conversation we don't have to think much. From my side it has to be "How people behave in G2G's" that means Stunting and Drags and all.

                          • yyyeeeaah! its awesome, i respect your commitment towards xbhp.. as we know pushing things is not easy at all! and as far as i know, there has been no stunting or drags lately. there were few issues with group riding on which aryan da took the appropriate measures !

thats the major issue nowadays .g2gs are lacking discipline .

any way will be their for this meet.......

                              • I wonder why this clamour for senior members to be present. Why do you need an x or a y to really get motivated to go to a G2G. A G2G should be about riders and their rides primarily(My understanding)
Motorcycling is an inherently individual passion. Nobody can force you to ride countless hours over sludge and mud or take three hours to polish your bike. If one is in love with motorcycling and wants to go to the G2Gs even thin attendance shouldn't matter much. You meet up with people having a shared passion, discuss whatever it is you are interested in, go home or go for a RIDE.

Disclaimer: I am not much of a G2G person (Antisocial almost!) so might be unqualified to make an informed comment. Just my thoughts. I prefer a sunday morning dash to Murthal for paranthas and love it (both the parantha and the ride)
