The Official Delhi Offline Meet(G2G) Thread

arre shivanshu bhaiya , only few members have a problem. so , my suggestion is that before hand u me n others must write it down or get into our heads about what points should we discuss. i don't want thatwe sit and we don't know where to start from

No need of us two sitting and penning down, we all sit together and discuss it alright Aman, and also it wont happen that we sit and dont know how to start so dont worry about it

@ Aman:- No need to pull anyone for this G2G. If they really care, then they will come. (Obviously not counting Office goers )

And I will be there. Was able to push things back at home for a week and now i wish that this G2G is fruitful.

And about starting the conversation we don't have to think much. From my side it has to be "How people behave in G2G's" that means Stunting and Drags and all.

Sherry bhai, great man your presence would be very good. And exactly we dont need to pull anyone for this G2G, whomsoever is interested will be most welcome. And specially I would actually just say that people who have a problem should be there, so that the problem may be known.

I wonder why this clamour for senior members to be present. Why do you need an x or a y to really get motivated to go to a G2G. A G2G should be about riders and their rides primarily(My understanding)
Motorcycling is an inherently individual passion. Nobody can force you to ride countless hours over sludge and mud or take three hours to polish your bike. If one is in love with motorcycling and wants to go to the G2Gs even thin attendance shouldn't matter much. You meet up with people having a shared passion, discuss whatever it is you are interested in, go home or go for a RIDE.

Disclaimer: I am not much of a G2G person (Antisocial almost!) so might be unqualified to make an informed comment. Just my thoughts. I prefer a sunday morning dash to Murthal for paranthas and love it (both the parantha and the ride)

Mik there is no fault in expressing yourself, its an open forum. But out here the main agenda is HOW TO IMPROVE THE DELHI xBhp G2G scenario. The people who are regular to G2Gs, have been facing some problem and hence this meet is organised to help them atleast sort out the issue. Otherwise have you or anyone out here been ever stopped by an xBhpian for that matter if you wanna have Breakfast at Murthal and then Lunch at Shimla and dinner at Manali and yes you are right a G2G should be about riders and there rides primarily, but that aint happening these days bro, and thats what we are going to look into.

Makes sense. A few things i would suggest

1. Ride more. The G2G shouldn't always be at the same dhaba. Every week, choose a different place to go to. It could be simply Greater Noida, Murthal, McD Manesar, Nimrana or Damdama. There is some scope beyond Faridabad too (a road towards Sohna. In such bad shape that one can enjoy offroading there), Garmukteshwar. There must be many other 2 to 4 hour getaways. Maybe even a CCD at the outskirts of the city. Any place which involves atleast half an hour plus of riding.
Infact, i suggest dont discuss this "dead delhi chapter" issue in the Dhaba. Pick a cutoff time, and ride to Manesar/Murthal. Half the guys will realize then and there why they would love to come to the g2gs again.
(You could say i am promoting pahalwan dhaba :-P)

2. Summer months are coming. G2Gs can start even earlier. Maybe at 5:00 or 5:30. This will give more time for point # 1.

3. Riding gear and discipline: One of the reasons i was put off with the G2Gs was because i saw people in chappals, knickers and twice, taking test rides without helmets. Also, couple of braggers who gloated on how fast they had reached the dhaba!!! To me, it was unthinkable and a definite put off. Could be the case with anyone else who is coming to the G2G for the first time and expecting a responsible set of bikers. One should ensure that people are in at least basic riding gear or are sent back.

Will think of some more.. Wife duty calls


EDIT: G2G timings are the morning after the WC Final. Wondering what the mood might be after the "chaar bajj gaye lekin..." party for people to attend a G2G :-)

To boost offline meets all we need is short one day rides as we do somewhere back in 2006-08, and that's the only reason I rarely come to dhaba as driving close to 35km one side in the morning just for parathas don't make sense to me .I am in for this one let's see what we all can do.

A hearty Congratulations to all Indians for the WORLD CUP

It was a good G2G today, I reached at sharp 0730hrs, nobody was there and then people started coming in. By 0815hrs there were more than 20+ guys and we were sitting all together. One by one everybody told what problem they are having/facing with the xBhp Delhi Offline Meets. Then Ken Da also came in which was great. In the end there were 30 Bikers today in the meet.
I came back at 1100hrs with many members still present at dhaba.

The problems discussed in common to all are:

1. Groupism - by which they meant that, the members coming for the meet stick to there own friend circle and hardly interact with others present in that meet. Which happens due to personal differences or anything regarding there personal life.

2. Discipline - some of the members they ride in dhaba very fast pulling some stunts and also leave the same way. Or otherwise they rev and ride fast out of dhaba which encourages other young and new members to follow them. even the parking of bikes is randomly done(which I saw today).

3. Agenda - there is no agenda in the meets which were happening in past, members used to contact there friends through other chat options and then meet. So, it was never a xBhp meet, as they used to meet at dhaba for there friends. and since there was no Agenda in the meets, there was no online discussion, leading to a big communication gap within the members.

4. Organized Rides - all members complained that there is no organized rides, whether short or long.

5. Ego -today I heard very strange things of what some members have experienced, like few senior members commenting on others when they ride there safety gear and ride into dhaba in evening. Things like - "this is not xBhp meet so why riding gears". I was very shocked. Also I heard that people are not ready to ride with new riders as they say - "he cannot ride" or "he doesnt know how to ride"

So all in all, it was a good interaction, though the updates from other members who were present in todays G2G would matter most. I think this thing would help us all to grow and mature more. I am very thankful to all the members who were present in dhaba today, atleast you spoke so now the problem is known. If I have missed any point in the problem then kindly update it. Few members also felt that its all a matter of misunderstanding and nothing else. Well respecting all the comments I got today, I am sure in the coming days this scenario is going to improve. So lets get together and work together as a team.

xBhp is family for me

From the time i have joined xBhp ,it has made me look at things altogether in a different sense.
Today's Discussion Meet was required for a longtime,so it finally happened.
I would like to thank Shivi Bhai,Ken Da for taking it up and making a positive mindset in all fellow Delhi xBhpian's.
All points made by all were enlightening.
Let's make Delhi a bikers haven.
We are a family lets be one,
