someone plzz pm my your no so i can meet u there next sunday

First off there was just one cbr250 at sunday's meet. The rider as well as the pillion came without even a helmet. We at xbhp don't encourage this kinda behaviour. So next time bear that in mind and get yourself atleast an ISI approved helmet.

You will find someone on the dhaba every sunday, so just be frank and talk to the other guys. Tell us something about yourself, ask some questions and you'll be a part of the gang.
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

    • Sunday morning, waiting at the Defence Colony petrol pump, I wasn't expecting much of a turnout. As have been my past experiences, online everyone loves to click on the "Attending" tab, but on D-day, they never show up, unless there are some big bikes coming. Anyway, waiting people to join in, I was in for a treat as within 15 mins 3 superbikes rode past. What if the people never showed up, I had made my day. After a while, Mandeep, a friend (new in Delhi) showed up. We stood and talked for a while, and suddenly I heard the thump of a bullet. Being a bullet owner myself now, I am always quite curious whenever there is another RE around. To my surprise, Amritika Ji, the founder of Animal Care Society, a fellow animal activist and a great person at heart rode in on her son's thunderbird. Damn. How I wished my mom also knew how to ride. Anyway, we decided not to wait anymore, and rode to SPCA Noida. Reaching there, we were greeted by our furry friends, quite happy to have so many people around. For the ones who don't know, SPCA stands for Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Soon after L.P., Superman and Rider Leo joined in.
The turnout however small it was, left a lasting impact on the people at SPCA. We heard compliments like "Roadies for Furries", "Riders for green" etc. It was overall an overwhelming experience for us. All the people present there, including us from xBhp planted a total 260 saplings.

      Here are some pics.

      L.P. does some hard work..

She surely knows how to ride.. Amritika Ji on the TBTS..

Superman (Shashanka) Thanx for showing up bro

The Gang.. Let's try n make this picture bigger the next time.. whenever that shall be..

Guys all of us have some responsibility towards the society as well. It would be great if more and more bikers support such causes. It not only contributes to Mother Nature but also helps you improve your image as well as the image of the entire biking community.
      Regards,

      • Guys Meeting at Dhabha is not the only agenda of being in a Meet, At times there are lot more things that you need to do, to make your presence being felt to the community.

Ask this question to your self, how many times have you been there for a Noble cause, If there are some big bikes coming you all will be present no matter what happens, what happened this time?
I am sure, no one will have an answer, or come up with excuses. Its OK!
        It was not forceful.

We will surely have some more events in Future, Hope some who feel they are responsible and grownups, we expect them to show up.

And remember all these things contribute in a better you, Someday, like today, A biker of the year contest may ask you, what have you contributed to the society! Have You??
its Never too late, see you Soon!

        • I appreciate you getting associated for some cause which by some measures sounds good. But if this is how you plan to garner more support, think of getting number of participants increased... my friend you have lost the whole plot.

Just go through your post once again. What do you mean by - you expect more people to show up next time?? Care to exlpain

To me it looks more of a ridicule than an appeal or valid urge on your part for people to join. You can request but you can't blasphem people for not coming.

Ask yourself - Why didn't people come?? Did you make an honest appeal?? I guess you didn't and result are for you to see.

          Cheers.

Abhishek, brother... I deeply value ur concern. And as for "expecting people to show up", that is what you do with friends isn't it?
xBhp means family to us, and I don't think it would be wrong in urging people to come for something you feel for.
I'm sure there was a time when you would have told your father, or your brother, or a friend, "I want to do this, and I want you to come along. I won't hear no for an answer"... U're free to deny it if you wish to... but that's human nature. EVERYONE DOES IT.

As for "blaspheming people", nobody came to your home and dragged you from your ear, or collar for that matter. We expected people to show up. Whether they come or not is their decision. Ab inn sab cheezon ke liye ladne lage toh everyone on xbhp will end up hating everyone on xbhp

As far as your feeling of this being a ridicule is concerned, u're free to feel whatever you want brother. It's a free country.

However, I still feel we need solidarity as a community to stand up for such causes, and for the entire biking brotherhood. Bringing in our egos would lead us nowhere...

I would still say I expect more people to show up next time. And agar tu nahi aaya, the next time I meet u at the dhaba, I'll give u a hug! promise!

Abhishek, You may have just seen it from here(where the last post is), if you see actually, it was posted on the thread earlier too, but even after that no one did care to go through it, for that matter, It does not hold any value for people, all what matters is sitting idle at dhabha, or seeing big bikes, nothing else at all.

It is not just me, who is associated with this kind of event and it is not my first time, I know a few more people who have been associated with such responsibilities, Shivanshu, Shann, Kuber, they have done it, I was unhappy because I did spread a word for it in few of previous pages, Still I could see people talking about meeting at dhabha, I could not accept an answer that, "We wanted to ride", A ride till greater noida is not short, one could have come there. Apart from sitting uselessly at Dhabha One day.
Abhi, Its OK, if you were busy the weekend, or you didnt read, I have no issues with you or any one else, because you were not aware. I am pointing to people who carelessly ignored it, after reading!!!
Meri ladai kisi ek se nahi hai bhai, My fight is for, I want all of them to understand a small responsibility
              It was a noble cause.

Apart from Riding without a reason/cause, Riding for a Cause/Reason is More Valued! Isn' it??

This experience will leave me with no reason to invite people for any cause up further. Because I trust those those said, We couldn't come because of So & So reason, But Bhai we will try to be there next time.

              • @LP - Either I misread your post or you didn't understand the meaning I wanted to convey. I appreciate your association for this cause, its only that I had wished you to urge second time with more conviction citing first meet as successful rather than doing it the other way.

You got me wrong & explained what happened?? I didn't know about it and just pointed you to take a constructive approach to build this platform.

@Maxx - You have taken the post a lot more personally and so vented back at your sarcastic best. Trust me friend - such platforms need patience and dedication. If you can't tolerate honest feedback on your approach then.... I apologise and also understand that you can't handle criticism.

@L.P & Max - Good participation from you guys . Thanks for sharing the pics & words with us .

I enjoyed that Sunday, on hell of jokes we shared btw ourselves and having a glimpse of you pics & thoughts made it even better . Had to leave early so was not in for SPCA meet but may be next time some other cause .

I would like to add ,especially to LP , bro you are our star & most of us really trust you for your efforts & genuine participation but please do not get offended for lower followers to any event in which SBK's are no present . Trust me , joining a cause for a glimpse of SBK's does not matter most of us . We are riding a machine which is best suited to us in India and almost every bike is an SBK to its own persona . I am always happy to see my friend's Blue Discover & my bike riding together for a small ride to have Burger at Manesar Mc D etc etc .

SBK viewership does not becomes an deciding factor for a ride or coming to dhaba . It's the brotherhood/bond & weather which makes us all to come under some trees & Sun together on an intended lazy Sunday . It's good you have expressed your thoughts but it should not be pointing at people who are sitting at dhaba , they may look idle to you but they are working ie 'chatting' in which brain is involved in some manner . The fight of words has never ended or never will , so chill bhai , we are always with ya . And we were not idle at Dhaba we were chatting & this is a very good effort to make us all happy and find more topic to share for next Sunday .

This is all I wanted to share with you LP. So, calm down & Yes!! c u again , next Sunday at same old Dhaba .....

Until then ,take Care & Ride safe !! Long live Bikers

Abhishek... Nobody's a kid here. It's an open forum and everyone has the right to voice their views. You stated yours and I stated mine... But, in your part of the world, if replying on a polite note, or offering a hug is considered rude or sarcastic... my apologies.

And as far as your thinking of me not being able to accept criticism is concerned.. brother, you can think what you like. As I said earlier, its a free country

P.S.- And with that this becomes a Mutual Apology Thread

@RPM: I respect ur views brother... n I appreciate your respecting your fellow bikers... m sure L.P. did not say that for you in specific... anyhow he'll speak for himself... as for me... I'd say, keep up the spirits. Nice to have people like you around
