The Karnal Ride!!!
First I would like to apologize for posting this post on this thread as I just came from the office and the other thread is locked.
Also I would like to say that my My Intention of this post is absolutely not to disrespect anybody. Literally My intentions is not to disrespect anybody.
Reading all the subsequent posts from the other thread I realized that the whole blame of whatever bad happened on the ride went to one person ie. LP.
I would want to mention some facts:
1) The ride was not bad at all. People who wanted to enjoy, Enjoyed!!
2) I don't know much about the going to Karnal part as I had stayed back with Sikhbiker to get his tyre punctured and met the group in Panipat. After Panipat LP went ahead and the accident happened behind him so he didnt knew about it and since we people stopped at the site and took many breaks that is the reason why he reached half an our early.
3) The reason why he went ahead was MJ R15 was leaking air from the rear tyre and LP had a puncture repair kit. He intended to get the repaired once he reach Karnal, Hence he went ahead.
4) I literally don't think that the blame of the accident goes to him.
5) Once we reached there we had food, and it was nice. The Sun had come and it was pretty hot by that time which is also one of the reasons for many people's discomfort.
6) About the stunting part. No delhi xBHP member did any stunt. The people who did the stunts were I guess Beagle Boys form Panipat and they just wanted to show their talent. They had proper gear. Anyways I would say the scene was not very encouraging that I accept Hence we people started to leave early.
7) The ride back to me was very disciplined. I would go on to say that as disciplined as possible considering the situation.
8) Many people rode in groups may be not in one group but two groups and the main reason for that is people took a lot of water breaks so some people stopped and some continued to move on slowly.
9) LP to most part rode with us on the way back and I would say he didnt even cross the line once.
I am writing this post because I felt that lack of full facts actually led to a bigger confusion.
Also I would like to say its the brotherhood that makes us what we are and he is a part of the brotherhood and I couldnt see him being accused so much of things which he didnt do actually.
@Rohit: Dude please dont say that it was a mistake on your part to start this thread. Dude you did a great job. Believe me I really appreciate it from my heart. And please keep your creative mind rolling for new ideas.
I am new to xBHP but frankly speaking I never felt like new because people here were so helpful and the degree of mutual respect and above all respect for seniors is so high that I literally fell in love with this place. Completely my kinda place. But seeing all this I just want to say where is the brotherhood, where is the respect.
I would completely like to apologize first for posting in the wrong thread and also for going against the tide.
But I would again say that my intention is absolutely not to hurt anybody's feelings. I just felt it to be unfair to actually blame one person for whatever bad (Not that good) that happened on the ride.
If the ride was unsuccessful, the blame should go on everybody of us who were a part of it and not to any one single person. Although I would like to say to me the ride was pretty decent and I really enjoyed the company of the riders and their composure in the extreme climate.
We should not try pick the not so good things, rather we should try to pick the good things in anybody and anything. Everything at least teaches some lesson, even if it is not that good.
My Sincere apologize......Rachit K Dogra

before I write anything I would like to say that I am not here for being personal also as I was not the part or event so I am no one to say anything but as far as I know blaming L.P for all the situation is not the solution for the all that happen on G2g... we all know that L.P get exited soon but all know that his intentions are never wrong also he has always help al the members when ever its required and I can bet that no one can deny this ......
I really respect the decision of all the senior riders but we all know L.P has never tryed to get a bad name for Xbhp...
so before banning him on the site it was better just to tell him is advance so the matter could have being sorted out at ground level ...I totally agreed with the thoughts of Rachit ...it was a ride and this are unpreditable on road so no one know that what may happen next so please atleast he should have given a chance to justify himself also on the consent of the people who were the there with him during the ride....A wing rider now....

I just came online...Lot of things have changed. The Karnal thread is already locked so I guess anyone who wants to share his thoughts will do it here only.
Whatever bad happened during the ride, Nitin has no role to play, thats what I think...He dint stunt, dint break the formation, was with the group the whole time, helped MJ during the puncture.2 Week Ban to LP for bringing disrepute to xBhp and acting irresponsibly towards the community.
Whatever Abhishek told about LP reaching Karnal half an hour before there is a justification to it for which LP was not given any chance and he was banned by the mods without taking any opinions from others who went to the ride(May be you must have taken suggestions offline)
Also, let everyone else know what all warning does this chap was given earlier. I'm keeping an eye on Delhi's thread, dint see any warning against him...yea for OTs he can be blamed once, but what kind of disrepute he brought to xBhp.
I'm not at all against the decision taken by mods/admin but we all should know the appropriate reason for taking such action
3) The reason why he went ahead was MJ R15 was leaking air from the rear tyre and LP had a puncture repair kit. He intended to get the repaired once he reach Karnal, Hence he went ahead.
9) LP to most part rode with us on the way back and I would say he didnt even cross the line once. From all this I can't conclude that he is an irresponsible guy towards the community.we all know that L.P get exited soon but all know that his intentions are never wrong also he has always help all the members when ever its required and I can bet that no one can deny this
+1 to this. He should be given a chance to justify himsrlfhe should have given a chance to justify himself also on the consent of the people who were the there with him during the ride....its all about CC...

LP is a frequent visitor on xBhp and he very well knew what was brewing on the Karnal thread. He had enough time to come and join in the discussion before things got at the juncture of a conclusion.
This is not the result of the Karnal ride, but a slow build up of previous incidents which he also knows about.
Further, Nitin is not banned from xBhp forever, it is only a two week ban and he should take it in the right spirit. he should ensure, along with all of you, that we have high quality meets where everyone learns something rather than just general chit chats, back biting, hypocrisy and the like.
We have to work hard as a team to make xBhp a lot better place offline and online. It is your own home and club. No hard feelings should build up, take this as the decisions of the elders and not as a personal attack. I have myself explained Nitin umpteen times as elder brother and he knows that.
The question is why only a very few of us are making sure that there is a healthy exchange of ideas offline and online ? Is it only the responsibility of the mods? An one of you can make a huge difference, why cant you decide an agenda, a subject to an offline meet? For example learning by discussing about tyres as the main subject and then coming back online and posting whatever you learn. It is your own club - you can either crib or you can do something to make sure you learn along with helping others who are there in it.

Well rain is almost here , and I love to ride in drizzle or light rains but but my confidence to ride in rain goes a bit down thanx to the bad tyre which I had before, now I have changed it to Zapper C. Now whenever we have meets after the anniversary meet... I would actually want to have few tips for safe riding in rains from elders and friends.. i think it would be helpful for other riders as well.. and also for maintenance of bikes...Last edited by Shivanshu; 06-30-2009, 05:34 PM.

I am sorry to be blunt sunny sir but a ban is a ban. Doesn't matter whether it is for two weeks or for two years.
If you think that this is the way our so called respected MODS should take actions then I strongly disagree with it. Why do he has to take it in right spirit?? If you could have read Ken da's post then you must have seen that L.P. has been banned as he has brought disrepute to xbhp. May I ask what wrong he has done which made him thought so?
He has not given even a single chance to justify himself even though it is not required as he hasn't done anything wrong. I feel that through this decision which is purely based upon preconceived notions, people has taken out their personal grudges.
Today it's LP, tomorrow it could be anybody including me, the problem is whatever reputation as a club we have, LP, as a biker has contributed a lot in it.
Ken da' s quote has literally spoiled LP's image across the club.
Can I expect some kind of explanations from MODS or have to wait and watch for our turns????

Mods and Admin have been trying to protect LP for months now. We were nearly brow-beaten with questions on PMs and calls from across the country regarding his behavior. Sunny and I had a long chat with him some weeks ago.Originally posted by MJ1984 View PostToday it's LP, tomorrow it could be anybody including me, the problem is whatever reputation as a club we have, LP, as a biker has contributed a lot in it.

Nobody has personal grudges. And it is not easy to ban ANYONE! Maybe you should get your facts right. Please do not let your anger do the talking.
Maybe this is the time that he should reflect and do some introspection. Maybe it is possible that Mods and Admin's collective decision over a period of time can be correct! And our decision is NOT based on Sunday's incidents solely. The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

@All: Can we please STOP this nonsense now? L.P has been banned for 14 days, and that's where it all ends. If someone, ANYONE is not happy with it, then please use PMs or talk to the concerned person face-to-face.
Also, I notice a few members who DID NOT talk a word when actually all this was happening on the other thread, and they are at their full force NOW, when the step has already been taken. This is bullshit!
If someone is not happy with the decision, then no-one can help it. Moderators or the administrator is not here to make everyone happy. It is a JOB that we are doing and please let us do it. Questioning the decision, and pin-pointing anyone in particular is not really going to help it, believe me.
This place is dedicated to discuss the Delhi G2Gs, and let it remain this way. If you visit any other such offline G2G discussion thread, you won't find such "politics", or shit there. Why? Has anyone thought about it? Just think about it.
And now, please let us all stop this nonsense, and get on with our lives AND xBhp.Last edited by Aryan; 06-30-2009, 09:12 PM.:)

I Agree to you completely Aryan da.
What has happened has happened and we should all take this thing as a lesson and be cautious from the future.
I again apologize for posting Karnal ride related matter in this thread but I had no option as the other thread was locked and I could not log in to xBHP earlier due to some tougher weeks in office.Rachit K Dogra

what happened on sunday could be avoided if everyone maintains a certain speed & move as a group, we should learn from what has happened & try to make ourself better rider & better group member, rather than pin pointing someone, if someone is not behaving responsibly then talk to him give him chance to improve rather then taking hard steps, i don`t know about previous incidenrs so can`t say much on that

We all know that we do have a Mega G2G coming this Sunday to celebrate the 6th Anniversary of our own xBhp
so lets get active and lets contribute to this community by choosing a venue for this Mega Event..a thread is ON and polling is already in with 3 venues kept in mind....
We have met many friends from this community, we have learned a lot, we have matured as a person as well as riders.... we have become more responsible and have learnt a new way of living with our passion of bikes and machines....we have met many gurus and many more things have come in our way through xBhp... and as per me I think this is the only way we can thank
this community so lets make it big and lets make it worth the occassion....
So lets vote and work on it
