          Hmmm. So if our fuel is not cheap, we will have to go someplace where it is cheap. Or better find a homie in Panvel who can arrange for a room or something!!! After our trip, that is.

          If all else fails, I might have to carry my "coke" bottle again and I don't want to do that!

                        I think your right. I remember going to kamshet dam once. Had planned to go to Amby valley. but since I was alone with a pillion and inexperienced I couldn't tackle those steep up slopes. Had taken a village route to head to a small dhaba that was near the dam. Was on the 19th of Jan 2008. WOW! Brings back memories, T'was my first long ride(sort of) btw.
                        I doubt I will be able to make it this time.. Let's see, still hopeful

                        This was a village by-lane that led straight to the dam.

                        Note: in the Dam pic, the route takes a right just before the dam. You go a little ahead and there's a route to Amby Valley going upwards. As far as I an remember!!

                            Chilled ka sure nahi hai... unfortunately he skid on his bik 2 days ago and his bike is in for repair... he called me up to ask how they claim insurance

                              There is nothin as Kamshet lake, but if ur commin then we can change the names .

                              Itz a bit confusing guys. Kamshet in not on the amby route it comes on the route which leads to the Karla caves. Near amby we have the Bhushi dam which is a hydro electricity project, I dont knw the wht the backwaters of the dam r called. Whereas near kamshet there ia Pavana lake...........

                              Kamshet is famous for paragliding. Im yet studin the map & tryin to find out whether the place is worth it....................
