@Sagar Banerjee - As snehit said, New destinations are being explored so that we can have the best possible ride and stay. But all said and done; we must now finalize one of the options mentioned until now. Lets start a new poll with Srivardhan, Velneshwar, Amboli and Goa(Me being selfish) or any other option. Lets see the results in a weeks time and get it done. No more fiddling around. Are there any good locations on NH 4 near Satara, Kolhapur etc. these will be easy to access for most.

P.S. - I suggest adding Tapola as one of the options. Theres stay in tents arranged by Tapola Eco tourism. That will be an excellent place for our Bakar sessions.

Guys, lets end the discussion here. Seems to be dragging for some time now. I am sure the folks are working really hard to come up with the destination and as you can see in this open forum that already some have taken the responsibility to scout the destinations. If they feel that the destination is not suitable, then we should be fine with it. Let us not confuse them as well as others with anything else, rather we should support for the effort they are putting up here. What we can do from our side is to wait patiently for the final destination to come up, that is the max and the best we can do.

In the meantime, I would like to let you know that [MENTION=37862]snehithpereira[/MENTION] is coming up with a checklist of the items which is required for the group ride. We from the KA group would be following that checklist and I would also request him to kindly share it over here so that it might help the other state groups as well.

My only concern in the 1st post was that if something is already fixed and worthy then there is no need of tampering it.. because if more and more suggestion comes people are bound to confused... and if you see it's the same thing happening here...

And regarding organizing things... I very well know it takes a lot of effort into it.. I am really thankful to all the organizer's that they came up with such kind of a g2g... I never advised and ordered anyone.... if someone misunderstands and takes it personally what is my mistake in that... how politely does one talk???

Ideally the sooner the destination is chosen the better it is to plan further but if someone is taking all the trouble then I see no reason for others to advise on how it should be done. Heck, they are doing all the hard work and asking you to ride when its all done, what else you want man?

And backing out just because one didn't like a post of another biker comrade is just silly, come on we are not kids. Since this has big participation it will take time to decide some things but when its all done you just ride with the gang, nice

The discussion happening is not going to help anybody. Sagar's first post was not incorrect and yes everybody is excited, Saquib's post was informative regarding the activities happening behind the scenes but could have avoided the opening statement to make it sound better.

We can avoid the whole discussion as its turning bitter and will only spoil the charm of this exciting event, so guys please do not over-react and calm down.

Sagar I would highly recommend that you check your tone while posting (caps refer to yelling).

Coming to the factual part, FYI there is lot of planning and work going on in the background apart from what you see here on this thread, spocs of various states are in steady communication with one another over various aspects of the meet.

As for your concerns over the nature of repeated change in destination of the meet, it is because members arr doing a steady effort at scouting the routes and places and only after judging the non-feasibility of one destination, is the next suggested. It's not that people are adding places as suggestions to increase their post-counts.

In an ideal world with all information at hand, I agree planning would be easier BUT please note this is not an ideal situation where all the info is readily available such that decisions can be made at the blink of an eye. People are making a constant effort at ensuring OUR comfort. It takes time, PERIOD.

I understand and respect that this is not your first meet or ride, but problem is, not all of us have the wanderer spirit such as yours to cope up with whatever the road throws at us, hence the spocs are making sure everything is comfortable for members like me.

And appreciate your wisdom at backing out and letting the experts carry on with their work.

If u see the time left for the isg2g, it's just 27 days left.... if you say there is a lots of planning required I agree with that but here the discussion is about destination which has been going on and on now.. instead of putting more ideas and confusing people it's better we should fix sumthing.... every time 1 destination gets fixed and 1 more input for another destination changes it all... so I would say this is not a correct way to plan... still there are many more planning left...

And regarding my excitement... yes I was a bit excited about the trip ( PLEASE NOTE - even though this is not my 1st g2g or 1st ride)... but not anymore... you people please carry on....

Will you lease hold your gallops for sometime.
I know you are excited and really dont want a mess to it, but this discussion is serious. Its not daily commuting where one goes stand and take pics.
Riders from different places will be riding down on their respective steeds with their own ethics and riding attitude.
One just cant hop on and start riding.
This all planning is done for all of our easiness and safety.
So do co-ordinate and please avoide from pushing to take close each chapters soon.

Even if new options are proposed people are taking care that they have also looked out or collected info of accommodation.
Since already MH and Guj guys are co-coordinating with destination/accommodation plans, Bangalore guys have took up the tshirt designing part which will be done by this weekend.

+1 to this, once we decide the place, stay options have to be identified and finalized, money collection, t-shirt design, order and printing and I am sure more things to be done and less than a month. Lets take a final call.

Has anybody been to Amboli before as I got to know, not many stay options there, nearest good stay options are at Sindhudurg.

[MENTION=18822]POS[/MENTION] I don't think it will be a feasible option for 3 days of group ride, don't forget we will be riding in a group.. So goa seems to be tough option for us.. Velneshwar (it's a beach in Konkan region) we can add as an another option.
