Nobody's fighting, just said it's not fair. That's it.Originally posted by kochumvk View PostI request Trivandrum xbhpns to stop fighting for anything and everything.
We need to consider what the leads of other states are saying. They are valid points. We need to respect their insight and huge experience executing such events.
Why cant we ride to a different district for a such a big event guys? I am riding from a different state for last 3 years. I didn't see a reason for not being comfortable outside own district!#RetiredRider

Poll closed???? What hapnd guys?? Its gonna be a fight here? I think Varkala is a gud option becoz ther r sum gud places nearby Varkala. We all love biking then why we bother about the distance? I think ther is max 130 kms difference from other destinations. I dont think so avoiding Varkala from ISG2G is a gud idea. Plz avoid hilly areas. Hoping the best from u guys..

Removing Varkala isn't unfair but we need to consider fellow riders across the borders too. There will some riders don't mind distance, but then they'll only be handful. Let's think of equi distance for all. I hope my post gives an idea of how we see things from other states.Originally posted by vivekvinu View PostPoll closed???? What hapnd guys?? RESPECT IT' if he's otherwise an active member.
Now, to all my fellow brothers who have issues with Trivandrum xBhpians, please note that though we are not heavy posters online but we are the most active set of xBhpians in Kerala offline groups. We have regular G2G every fortnight and have rides every month. It's sad to see that Trivandrum xBhpians are trying to be blamed here cause some of their attendance is poor in Tri-state, State-wise G2Gs. The number of posts in months or years are also considered to be an xBhpian, seriously? Grow up Brothers.
Organizing committee, it should be taken as evidence of poor planning regardless of your experience for past 4years that 'Varkala' had to be taken off the list over the kms to cover (that too this being a second thread opened for ISG2G 2014). AFAIK Praful is a part of the organizing committee, and he missed to say his opinion regarding the kms to Varkala during your organizing discussions? Please don't compare between the CC, Kms and Climate, we are xBhpians. We ride!To be The Best, You got to beat The Celebrity...

Yes I missed bringing it up during the previous discussions, pardon me for being only human!Originally posted by The Celebrity View PostAFAIK Praful is a part of the organizing committee, and he missed to say his opinion regarding the kms to Varkala during your organizing discussions? We are xBhpians, but what is the point of having a meeting when 66% of the participating crowd will have to have 15-18 hr two day rides for 1 day for a meet ?
Like I said before, I'm not saying its impossible just don't see the point of riding with 30-40 folks for 700 Kms to reach the destination tired. Don't believe me, ask the KL xBhpians who came for the Yercaud meet in 2010...
But there is a way, if the Bangalore & Chennai xBhpians agree that they don't mind riding 15-18hrs for two out of the 3 days OR they don't mind taking two extra days and break the journey into two days to reach Varkala, I am nobody to stop them.
By all means let me know, I'll update the options in the poll. This is not a dictatorship, so please stop talking as if it is one._________________________

I can clearly understand what you are saying. We will sort this out. We have many locations in Kerala, not just Varkala. and Hosts will understand that.
Allow some time.

Human error and pardon accepted. Please discuss with Bangalore xBhpians from your side and get on the head-count who are ready to ride 700kms and who are ready to ride only 500kms first. Sriram and Karthik, please do the same with Chennai as well so that we can fix on the place for the event.Originally posted by Praful View PostYes I missed bringing it up during the previous discussions, pardon me for being only human!

From what I understood seeing the poll yesterday and today morning before changes were made is there will be more participates from the host state if the event is conducted at 'Varkala'. I believe that is what is excepted as well, more participates from the host state. The same reason why lesser number of KL participants are there for ISG2Gs when compared to the number of actually active members in KL regardless of the regulars from KL.
I know, I'm not there in the organizing committee but I had to suggest the above over the planning flaws and mess-up happening since yesterday in the second thread too for this event. I request, the committee to execute things peacefully atleast going forward and make the event a grand success.
Don't take this as a dictatorship from my side. I am only backing my brothers from KL which is the jest thing to do, to stand United as Brothers in an event of crisis.

That's great news, so it's a doable distance for Bangalore xBhpians unlike quoted earlier here. Organizing committee, do consider in adding 'Varkala' back to the poll list.Originally posted by shashank ashwin View Post
Well, well, well.. .
The thread is up and exciting times await us. Superb enthusiasm, heated discussions, poll open, poll close, it's all happenning here, 2nd day and the thread is already 9 pages. The options look good and the dates planned seem legit.
I have been on a Bangalore-Varkala trip and keep visiting wayanad often, Munnar has been more in cars though. My suggestion would be to have Varkala open as an option, reason -
a>The road is butter-smooth for 85% of the journey
b> Bangalore guys (including me) went to the Valneshwar ISG2G a while ago, the distance was similar and we encountered one the worst patches of Ghat roads on the way. We are alive and rocking for more !! !
c> We had bikes ranging from 500cc to 100 cc too.
d> Last point, each one of us has a lot of good memories from the trip despite the distance and conditions.
The weather too is much better right now, the distance is not impossible and hence keep it open as an option. Let's not vote-out a destination without even giving it a chance.
By the Way, my vote is neither for Wayanad nor for Varkala and Munnar. I am looking forward to some new destination
