[/MENTION] .Even though the ride to Yercaud was one of the best,riding such distances in a space of just 3 days is something i wouldn't recommend,we need to consider our fellow 2 stokers(even though most of their rides are in better shape than some 4s'ers ) and also newbies to long distance riding.It will sound exciting but only once you start riding you realize how to fatigue is going to take a toll on you.

[/MENTION] has said. I wouldn't mind riding 700+kms as an individual or with 4-5 ppl. But with a large group that will be tough to handle. We would only get a half day or so to meet and interact with the riders from the other states if the travel time is too much. Personally I feel varkala can't handle 100+ bikers.


PS: I was out of town for a week so couldnt reply to few posts, also I have never worked in Bangalore or been a part of the bangalore chapter. :-D

Also it would be nice to give a presentation for newbies on touring etiquette and where to start. We can volunteer our own riders to share ideas and thoughts in a proper forum that would benefit many.

Yes Ranjith the Yercaud ride was a memorable one without a doubt...

But considering new riders with us and majority of two strokes, the distance of the trip seems too much... what is the use of a G2G where all you do is keep riding for hours together just to reach the place, eat, sleep and again start riding back for hours to reach back home !!

This is a forum and everyone here is equal so we respect others views and suggestions but, there has to be a couple of seniors who have to consider the inputs from members and experiences from the past ISG2G and take a decision to which all other members have to abide.

That is the only way to avoid a lot of misunderstandings and also a lot of unwanted discussions and hassles.

Hopefully we should have a clear picture on the dates and place soon.

Looking forward to meeting up with you, tintu and many of our KL team mates.

As for the discussion going on about the color, I would suggest to opt for any other color this time.. we have loads of tees in BLACK from xbhp and g2g.

The Grey color as in design looks superb.. one suggestion here again.. why not the state heads decide on the color among yourselves and just announce the final color and design.

Agreed this is an open forum but then everyone is going to have different views all the time. .. In such things it is always better few guys take up the responsibility and just take a decision.

Swaroop,Jayan, Sriram, Karthi, Phanikar and Praful can we start counting the confirmed riders from each city and start listing them in post 1?

Actual name list is not required since we will have registration form later.

We just need the projected count to do the math.

We guys are planning a meet only this month end. So no point if we going to close poll this month 15th for earliest Sept ride. I would rather think July 15 should be the poll closing date. Still it would give two months to fix stay I thought. Let me know.

We d have the pre-rides right ? There have been a lot of new guys, who are neither active online or offline, they might also want to cme for the ride, s i guess the pre-runs will be there ? Otherwise we cannot filter out the riders.



It seems Wayanad adn Kuttikanam are the close competition.

Preride is definitely going to be there.
In Kerala there will be 2 or more of regional pre rides.
Even in 2010 this helped us in proper quality control. And many riders backed of after pre ride finding it impractical for them to make it. So its a completely beneficial thing.

Best part is this will formulate a chemistry within the riding team.
